New Hampshire lawmakers debate licensing out-of-state semi-trailers

House Republicans in New Hampshire are counting on out-of-state semi-trailer licensing to raise money for the state.

While New Hampshire Republicans often argue against expanding fees, the proposal introduced Feb. 8 is unusual in a couple of ways.

First, many of the new bureaucratic duties would be outsourced to private, nongovernmental agents, thereby keeping new expenditures at a minimum. | More a Watchdog NH
