Paul Hodes – Lobbyist

The Concord Monitor is reporting that Paul Hodes has started a business consultancy. This will have him back and forth to Washington DC for the purpose of connecting northern New England to Washington DC; a lateral move from his role as congressman when he was trying to sign New Hampshire away to Washington DC. Continue reading

Ask Jeanne Shaheen – So What About Diminshed Snowfall?

Remember the halcyon days when the science of global warming was settled? Do you recall the dire warnings from green industry activists “experts” around the world, echoed by prominent herd animals Democrats, including some from from New Hampshire, that Global Warming was going to diminish regional snowfalls and ruin the ski and tourism industry? Why Did They Raise The Drop Out Age To 18?

As debate proceeds on the NH House bill HB 429 which returns the drop out age to sixteen (A 16 year old could leave school with a parents permission), John Lynch and the education community have come out against this change and responded with warnings of the potential consequences. They then entertain us with ‘success stories’ resulting from their raising the drop out age to 18 just a few years ago. Continue reading

Democrats Prepare to Defend The NH Health Insurance Monopoly

The hearing for SB 150 is today at 9 AM. SB 150 is similar to a House bill (HB 241- also here) that would allow anyone to contract with any insurer outside the state with the exception that the Senate version allows the State Commissioner some rule making, documentation and dispute resolution powers. Continue reading

Bay State Bathroom Bill Bi-Pass (Get it? Bi-pass!)

I’m here to tell you that there are 188 very happy current and former state legislators from New Hampshire today. That’s right, 184 democrats and 4 republicans must be beside themselves with envy after Deval Patrick executed an order that bi-passes the MA legislature and does for public employees in that state, almost exactly what HB 415 -2009 tried to do to the entire State of New Hampshire.. I Guess The NH Democrat Party Is Now The “Monkey In The Window Party”

Being a New Hampshire democrat means never having to denounce anything. This only matters because the liberal-progressive whip holders who direct traffic leftward around the democrat’s rotary-of-hypocrisy like to tap the hair trigger on their own media Weapons of Mass Outrage (WMO) whenever they can manufacture the provocation. Continue reading

You can probably guess who voted against HB 474. Democrats. In fact not one single Democrat voted for it. But they are not beholden to the unions. Nah. Continue reading
