Full-Day vs. Half-Day Kindergarten

The following research report is written by Dr. Jody Underwood, a Croydon School Board member since 2010 and Education Fellow with the Granite Institute. Dr. Underwood received her B.S. in computer science from Hofstra University, her M.S. in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence from Rutgers University, and her Ph.D. in Education with a focus on cognitive science from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. She has conducted research and development around the use of technology in the classroom since 1987.

Full-day vs. half-day kindergarten is a significant issue currently being considered in the state legislature and many districts. It is relevant to school choice because of the potential impacts on educational options for our youngest learners. Keep Reading…
