New Hampshire Repeals Licenses (And Criminal Penalties) For African-Style Hair Braiders

Regulators are getting out of entrepreneurs’ hair—literally.

The past few weeks have seen states untangle hair care specialists from absurd licensing requirements. Earlier this month, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu signed a bill to legalize natural or African-style hair braiding. The Granite State now joins Indiana and South Dakota, which both deregulated the trade. In Tennessee, lawmakers recently repealed the state’s license to shampoo hair. Incredibly, before these reforms were enacted, it was actually against the law to earn an honest living twisting or lathering hair without a government-issued license. | More…

Liberalism is Oppression

(…) I could go on, but suffice it to say, liberalism isn’t the panacea feminists imagine it to be. It doesn’t free women from oppression. It is oppression. It’s bondage to state power. It reduces a woman’s control over her own life. It makes her less free, less equal, less secure, less prosperous, and, ultimately, less happy. Rowling’s diatribe about the supposed glories of liberalism regarding the dignity of women is based on a false premise—a lie that has seeped into the consciousness of too many, blinding them to what liberty, equality, and happiness truly look like.| More…

Some Asshat Is Driving NH State Sen. Donna Soucy’s Car

Donna Soucys CarAt 2:15 (yesterday) afternoon on Center St. in Concord, this asshat decided it would be a great idea to pass me on the left, riding over the center line, in front of St. Paul’s Church because traffic was stopped for the red light up ahead. Feel free to share this post in hopes this pic will land in the lap of this clown. | Facebook

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire House and Senate budget negotiators combed through competing two-year spending plans Monday, but it was an anti-spending provision on abortion that caused a stir.
