Littleton NH Swastika lawsuit survives motion to dismiss

Rye police investigating sex assaults involving minors

Police are investigating two reports of sex assaults involving juveniles, said Police Chief Kevin Walsh.

One report was made July 19 and the second was filed July 23, according to the town’s public police log. Both reports were made at the Rye police station. Walsh said one of the incidents was reported to police by an outside agency, involves a juvenile and is under investigation.

The second report, according to the chief, “involves juveniles” and is also under investigation. Walsh said police are being assisted with that investigation by an outside agency. *| More…

Mass. Governor Raises Taxes on Legal Pot

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said Friday he remained wary of the impact legalized recreational marijuana might have on the state, yet hopeful that revisions made in the voter-approved law would ease some of his biggest concerns.

The Republican spoke after signing a compromise bill approved by lawmakers last week that raises taxes on retail pot, establishes stringent requirements for the packaging and labeling of marijuana products, and spells out procedures cities and towns must follow if they wish to ban or restrict pot shops from opening in their communities. *| More…

NH vehicle inspection stickers getting new location, new look

The New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles announced Tuesday that starting Oct. 1 inspection stickers will be affixed to the lower, driver side corner of a vehicle’s windshield. This change was prompted by many newer model vehicles being equipped with crash avoidance technology located in the area where inspection stickers are currently affixed near the top center of windshields.  | More…
