HOUSE SPEAKER Shawn Jasper and Gov. Chris Sununu’s chief of staff are downplaying speculation that there is a growing rift between the two leading Republicans in the wake of a failed budget vote and the House vote against Right to Work legislation favored by the governor.
Jasper is also not keen on full-day kindergarten, one of Sununu’s legislative priorities.
On April 24, Jasper told radio talk show host Jack Heath that he and Sununu had not spoken since the failed budget vote on April 6. *| UL
