Parents sue SAU 79 over boy’s injury

The parents of a 14-year-old have filed a lawsuit against SAU No. 79 and the Gilmanton School District, claiming that a failure to remove a jagged metal post resulted in the boy being seriously injured.

During a track practice at the Gilmanton School, the boy stumbled and fell into a grassy island area in the parking lot on March 14, 2016. As the boy fell, his left lower leg struck a portion of a post, hidden in the grass. More…
