Warner gun range plan sparks regional response
A proposed indoor gun range here is prompting the town next door, Hopkinton, to weigh in.
Last month, the project was deemed to have a regional impact by the Warner Planning Board, meaning that Hopkinton and the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission will be able to testify.
The range would be built on nearly three acres of land on the north end of Warner Road off Exit 7 of I-89 and close to the intersection of Route 103. It’s about half a mile from the Hopkinton town line. More…

People commonly believe that asset forfeiture to the state requires a criminal conviction. They are rightly shocked to learn that property may be taken without proof that a crime had been committed. Fortunately, and through the hard work of many, New Hampshire passed a law in 2016 that requires a criminal conviction before the forfeiture of assets seized in connection with criminal activity.

Executive Council unanimously confirms Cline to State Board of Education
The New Hampshire Executive Council unanimously confirmed Andrew Cline to the state Board of Education on Wednesday, and Gov. Chris Sununu said he would soon ask Cline to serve as board chairman.
Cline, the former editorial page editor for the New Hampshire Union Leader, was nominated by Sununu last month after the governor decided not to renominate former chairman Tom Raffio – who has served for the past four years.
Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky, a Democrat from Concord, said he was disappointed Sununu decided not to reappoint Raffio. More…
