Colin Kaepernick Compares Modern Day Police To Slave Catchers

I’m no expert on political stances that unemployed NFL quarterbacks should embrace on Twitter to ensure that they have a chance to play in the league again, but comparing modern day police officers to slave catchers probably isn’t helpful.

Yet that’s exactly what Colin Kaepernick did yesterday in the wake of a jury verdict he disagreed with. | More…

New Hampshire’s remote ponds are once again stocked with fish that were raised in hatcheries and then flown in via helicopter.

NH’s best pours will be on tap at the 13th annual NE brewfest

LINCOLN — When they gather next weekend for the 13th annual New England Brewfest, beer aficionados can expect a proliferation of India pale ales; an emphasis on the subtler undertones of hops; some exclusives; and lots of heady conversations with craft brewers.

Produced and managed by the Western White Mountains Chamber of Commerce, the Brewfest will be held June 23-25 at the Loon Mountain Resort. It will combine what the chamber calls “beer-infused social events” with educational workshops, and the signature on-tap tasting where more than 30 breweries will present their wares. | More…

Government mandated trillions in global renewable investment – Amount to Next to Nothing

Despite this massive global government mandated driven investment in “Modern renewables” the so-called “traditional renewables” (twigs, leaves and dung) continue to provide nearly as much global energy as renewables receiving lavish climate alarmist politically directed government funding.

Most significant is the fact that the climate alarmism poster child renewables of wind and solar which are going to “save the world” provided only about 1% of year 2015 global energy consumption (1.6% less geothermal and biomass) which is absolutely pathetic given the massive trillions of dollars in government mandated investment in these technologies that climate alarmists demanded. | More…

After Seattle’s Gun Tax: Lost Jobs, Little Revenue, More Violent Crime

“The data says the law has failed to prevent what they promised it would prevent”

Although Seattle’s gun tax was supposed to bring in $300,000 to $500,000, it’s brought in less than $200,000.  The money was supposed to be used to “study” gun violence and to somehow lower the cost to taxpayers for gun violence.

It didn’t turn out that way, and Seattle ended up forking out taxpayer money from the general fund for the “study.”  Meanwhile, small business owners have shuttered their Seattle gun shops, causing employees to lose their jobs.  Furthermore, Seattle police report that gun violence has sharply increased. | More…

84 Great Danes rescued, N.H. puppy mill busted

More than 84 Great Danes were rescued from a puppy mill in a New Hampshire mansion by the HSUS with assistance from the Wolfeboro Police Department, said The Humane Society.

Sad and broken, their once bright happy eyes, were red or swollen shut like human boxers that had taken too many hits in a long fight.  The humane society said they should have been treated like canine kings and queens, but instead, were caged inside a mansion with no sign of available water, “just some remains of raw chicken parts strewn around the dogs.”  | More…

New Hampshire Has 13 cities, 221 towns, and 25 unincorporated places, And…

New Hampshire Has 13 cities, 221 towns, and 25 unincorporated places and many, if not all, have a Facebook page. And on that facebook page are commenters, some of whom may also have (or know about) a local blog, podcast, YouTube or a web page.

I want to know who they are because they are writing, commenting, and reporting on local events that could be shared here.

The New Media Militia is all about sharing new media news and opinion and while I will be scouting and linking to these resources when I can, it would go a lot faster if someone who knew about them sent me a link and a message. So, please do that. Thanks!
