Trump Education Secretary Pressured to Keep Obama ‘Rape Culture’ Guidelines

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has driven the Left crazy in recent weeks, by reining in some of the worst excesses of President Obama’s Department of Education (DOE). On Wednesday, the attorneys general of 19 states and the District of Columbia — all Democrats — sent a letter requesting DeVos return to the debunked and unfair Obama “rape culture” approach on sexual assault. In fact, they almost accused her of endorsing rape — a disgusting political tactic the Left has used to smear due process advocates in recent weeks. | More…

The Myth of Drug Expiration Dates

The box of prescription drugs had been forgotten in a back closet of a retail pharmacy for so long that some of the pills predated the 1969 moon landing. Most were 30 to 40 years past their expiration dates — possibly toxic, probably worthless.

But to Lee Cantrell, who helps run the California Poison Control System, the cache was an opportunity to answer an enduring question about the actual shelf life of drugs: Could these drugs from the bell-bottom era still be potent? …

The findings surprised both researchers: | More…

Authorities in West Virginia say a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old who wanted to visit their grandfather took their mother’s car for a 3-mile ride on a curvy, winding road before crashing it and escaping unharmed.

Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese said officials think the brothers worked together to steer the vehicle, but aren’t sure because they haven’t confessed details about their Monday ride. The car crashed into a ditch, and a neighbor found them and called authorities. | More…

This is disturbing on so many levels I haven’t a clue as where to begin

You know a feminist really hates any human with a ‘Y’ chromosome when she publicly condemns her sons as rapists and sexists because they will no longer endure her constant emotional abuse. Not that they’ve actually done anything wrong. But she apparently hates the idea that she wasn’t able to turn them into women with penises. Instead, they have done what anyone would under those circumstances – rebel. But wait, there’s  | more!

Chris Sununu Signs SB 44 Prohibiting NH from Mandating Common Core Standards

Concord, NH – Today, Governor Sununu signed into law SB 44, prohibiting the state from mandating local towns and school board to implement the Common Core academic standards.

After the signing Senator Kevin Avard (R-Nashua), prime sponsor of the bill, issued the following statement:

I am pleased to stand with the Governor and the children of this state to create an education system that works for best for New Hampshire.”

NH Irony in Action: Does Cutting Off Your Readers Actually Engage Them?

NPR recently shut down its comment boards online, and its managing editor of digital news was quoted as saying they were not providing a useful experience for the vast majority of users.

Is this the criterion? The content goes bye-bye if it doesn’t produce a useful experience for the vast majority? I’d say nine-tenths of what I read in an average day falls into that category. Have you ever been submerged in the black hole of click-through slideshows such as “You wouldn’t believe what (fill in the blank) looks like now!” You get the point.

And now, here’s the really big irony (Irony No. 4): I had no idea before I wrote and submitted this column that InDepthNH.org founder Nancy West had turned off the comment section for this website! | More…
