Time to Ask Your Legislators to Protect Free Speech in the UNH System

The recently released UNH Interim Report Presidential Task Force on Campus Climate is not about the weather, but it does involve snowflakes.

Hillary, America’s Miss Havisham

This week, the sorest loser since Dickens’ Miss Havisham in Great Expectations, Hillary Clinton, began peddling her latest book What Happened. University of New Hampshire Plots to Turn Students into Globalists

Last week, while the nation’s eyes were collectively glued to reports about Hurricane Irma, the University of New Hampshire published a chillingly Orwellian report that illustrates the extent to which America’s colleges and universities have become veritable progressive madrassas.

The interim report by the university’s Presidential Task Force on Campus Climate, titled Developing and Sustaining Inclusive Excellence and a Safe, Healthy, Equitable Campus Community, effectively makes the case that old-fashioned efforts at increasing diversity such as affirmative action aren’t sufficient enough because they don’t address the existence of people who oppose efforts at increasing diversity to begin with. Thus they must be transformed into mini George Soroses and become good global citizens. | More…

Trying to understand the overall tax requirements to run a town can be quite confusing. One has to work through a blizzard of RSA’s that regulate how all taxes (including your property tax) are created, levied and collected.

Then there is the creation of the town budget that outlines how much property tax actually needs to be collected. | More…

New Hampshire rejected 2 bills limiting access to records

Two measures that ultimately failed in New Hampshire were among dozens of bills state Legislatures debated this session that would close or limit public access to government records and meetings, according to a review by The Associated Press and numerous state press associations.

One of the bills would have exempted building plans and construction drawings connected to a local building permit from the state’s right-to-know law. It was aimed at protecting security data included in some building plans, but opponents argued it was too broad. | More…
