A Contentious Manchester Board of School Committee Meeting

If anyone doubts that fact is stranger than fiction, let’s take a look at last night’s meetings of the Manchester Board of School Committee.

It’s first meeting at five o’clock got off to a contentious start.  At-Large Committee Member Rich Girard challenged the assertion that the board needed to go into non-public session to discuss, quote:

“the dismissal, promotion or compensation of any public employee; or for matters which if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person.”

The matter to be discussed was a grievance filed by the Manchester Education Association.  Girard said the matter didn’t involve any specific employee. |More…

N.H. DHHS head talks health care provider taxes to pay for expanded Medicaid

Amid growing uncertainty around New Hampshire’s Medicaid expansion program and a looming 2018 deadline, Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Jeffrey Meyers is exploring a new potential fix: provider taxes.

In an interview with the Monitor editorial board last week, Meyers said he disagrees with a letter sent to the state criticizing the state’s current model of paying for expanded Medicaid with voluntary funding from hospitals and health care providers, which raised concerns that the practice “may be out of compliance with federal requirements.”

But just in case the program does need to be amended, Meyers said, a fee or tax on the hospitals and insurance companies might be a suitable alternative. *|More…

During its 68-year run, the Weirs Drive-In Theater certainly played its fair share of “Indiana Jones” movies. Real life archeologists are also interested in what may be underneath the iconic outdoor movie theater’s thirteen paved acres.

NHexit anti-war / Syria demonstration

NH: Around April 2017, free staters schedule a Manchester demonstration against U.S. involvement in Syria. It’s triggered by Trump’s infamous bombing of an airfield. In keeping with my idea that you’re better off with many small protests than one big one… I demonstrate separately in Bedford above the turnpike. And I have a huge backlog of vids, but here it is finally. ‘

How Pro-Voter Fraud Groups and Officials Scam Legal Voters

The requirement for every state to be admitted to the union, past and future, is that its people will be guaranteed a “republican form of government”; in other words, they must operate under the definition of a Republic. Therefore, the Constitutions of all 50 states clearly mandate that voting is a privilege and a right given ONLY to legal citizens.
