NH Medical Examiner Is Quitting His Job Because bad Opioid Policy is Killing so Many

In the six years since the federal government asked pharmaceutical companies to reformulate prescription opioids so patients couldn’t use them illicitly, Thomas Andrew, the chief medical examiner of New Hampshire, has seen his caseload skyrocket.

“It’s almost as if the Visigoths are at the gates, and the gates are starting to crumble,” Andrew told The New York Times‘ Katharine Seelye. “I’m not an alarmist by nature, but this is not overhyped. It has completely overwhelmed us.” |Read more at Reason.com

Meet the McGuires: New Hampshire’s Most Interesting Political Couple

New Hampshire has thousands of current and former state legislators of all stripes, but few are as intriguing as Carol and Dan McGuire.

The couple, both graduates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, are retired engineers who have been married for 36 years. Originally from Vancouver, Washington, (a suburb of Portland, Oregon), the McGuires moved to New Hampshire in 2005 as participants of the Free State Project (FSP). | More at NH Journal

Ed Naile: Twelve Lousy Things To Remember – And They Forgot The Most Important One

Let me take the Alinsky crowd to school.

  1. You are not going to disarm the American public. Every time you try and use a shooting – except in Chicago because you won there, as a wedge issue, the Second Amendment gets stronger. That is why the infantile demand for the elimination of the Second Amendment is your last, desperate, Hail Mary pass.
  2. Trump just tackled the NFL; they look like idiot children wearing mismatched socks.| More at GraniteGrok…

November 4th Antifa Goes to War

I know, they’ve been pretty violent up to this point, but now they have set a date for the actual revolution. I guess.

ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017:
We will gather in the streets and public squares of cities and towns across this country, at first many thousands declaring that this whole regime is illegitimate and that we will not stop until our single demand is met: This Nightmare Must End: the Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! | More at GraniteGrok

GET RID OF THOSE GUNS!

The Epidemic of Guns is once again on the front burner in the Wake of the recent Las Vegas Tragedy. Epidemic…”Their words, NOT MINE. Late night talk show hosts are weighing in with various and sundry policy statements and rants. Listening to the Kool-Aid drinking cuck liberals, one would get the impression this a huge problem….Literally, millions falling from guns…shoot-outs on every street corner (that seems more real in Chicago). So what about it? | More…

NHHRC Takes to the Streets for Drug-Related Harm Reduction

One of the things you hear before moving to New Hampshire is that, in many cases, the locals are as passionate about peaceful solutions to the world’s problems as the liberty activists are. I found this hard to believe until I actually moved here, but recent events reminded me just how true it is. |More at Free Keene

Would You Support Local Rooms and Meals Taxes in New Hampshire?

New Hampshire’s abundance of seaside beaches, lakes, and mountain resorts helps make tourism the state’s second-largest industry. While this influx of travelers is a boon to local businesses, it can strain municipal resources – like police and ambulances– during peak seasons. Some believe the answer is to allow towns to collect a local rooms and meals tax to help offset the cost of these extra services. |More…
