What Zandra Rice Hawkins Was Really Selling At Her “Fake” Sale

cupcakeZandra Rice “The Huckster” Hawkins of Granite State Progress (an out of state funded left wing group) staged a bake sale based on words she put in State Rep Jeanine Notter’s mouth.

Hawkins just decided that because Notter had more faith in individual responsibility and more local control that this guaranteed that people would suffer; that Notter’s solution meant people would need to have a bake sale to raise money to pay for cancer treatments if New Hampshire tried to opt out of the unconstitutional Health Insurance mandate.

I think this says a good deal about Zandra the Huckster’s world view and it’s not all that flattering.

First, if you live near Zandra you might want to move.  She clearly cannot be expected to help you out unless there is a state or federal mandate in place and a well paid bureaucracy to manage it at your expense.

Second, if she shows up at any local town meetings, kick her out.  Local control is clearly not her forte and given her position on its ineffectiveness, what you do in your town is none of her damn business.

Third, while Zandra was selling $10,000.00 cookies at her ‘Fake’ sale why didn’t she double down and try to sell the ravaged uterus’s of girls and young women misled (I’m sorry ’empowered’) by the lefts obsession with the over sexualization of children?  She could put those next to the lifeless fetuses from millions of innocent aborted babies.  Those should be big sellers with the liberals, almost impossible to keep the shelves filled the way they go on about it.

How about emotional trauma in a can–killing the unborn isn’t as easy for everyone as people like Hawkins would like you to believe.  And then there are the jars of sexual abuse salve–a disappearing cream that hides statutory rape and serial sexual abuse.  Planned Parenthood might not like the competition, but she can just give the money right back to them.  She could also have a separate table covered with small gilded cages in which parental rights are locked away.

Democrats love that.  And they make great paperweights.

Oh, and don’t forget to pick up the literature that lists all the other things the federal government can make you buy now that it can force you to buy Health Insurance.  Things like thermostats or meters the government can control, or vehicles that run on sunshine and bullsh*t that you can’t fit two people in, let alone a family.  There’s  a special menu of foods you are not allowed to eat, (like all the stuff she is pretending to sell at her ‘Fake” sale).  There is also a list of shows you are not permitted to watch, organization’s you are prohibited from donating too, people you are expected to hate, and words you cannot use (unless you hate them).

Zandra The Huckster’s world view is all about choices–made by experts far away (and useful idiots like herself) that you should just shut up and follow.

One other thing.  Zandra also want’s to make sure the government can tax the crap out of you to pay for all these things you can’t be trusted to deal with on your own.  And that’s really the problem  Zandra has.  She put the words bake sale in Jeanine Notter’s mouth because the Huckster cannot and will not trust you, your families, your friends, or your local government to do anything.  Only the almighty state should decide these things.

So for the record, Jeanine Notter never used the words Bake Sale.  Rice-Huckster made that up.  So I figure we can probably do the same thing to her the next time it seems convenient to do so, now that she has set (or re-set) the standard.

Thanks for the gimme Zandra, can’t wait to start using it.

Half-Bass’d Mast [Updated]

[Updated]

Well the timer was short.  The result?  When you copy an image location and someone does not like what you do with it, they snip your little life-line and the image goes away. You are left with a broken link, some alternate text if you added any, and plenty of people asking–huh?

That is what the nice people at Bass Inc. did.  But they didn’t change the image, and they did not remove it from all the emails they sent out.  So we once more revisit the lesson I so often teach people about the internet.  Once it is out there, it is there forever.

Say hello to forever.

The original post is below with the image returned to its proper place.  And I get another blog post out of it.

Original Post

Make of this what you will, but the banner image in Charlie Bass’ email newsletter shows the US Capitol building dome with the American flag flying in front of it.

The flag is flying at half-mast. (Start the timer to see how long it takes for them to change that.

(All the people he knows you’d think they wouldn’t have done a half-bass job on the graphics.  Nice shade of blue though.)

Another Wheel Off The Bus

Usually the wheels come off the bus before it goes into the ditch. But here we go. Another wheel falls off the Obama bus. (Must be one of the Dr. Seuss buses, given all the wheels this thing is losing). Obamacare, the Patient Unaffordable and Un-accessible (all we really) Care (about is government power) Act will require another 800,000 Americans to give up their jobs. Put another way, it will cost 800,000 jobs.

So when are Shaheen, Ex-Porter (That’s ex congresspersonista Carol Shea-Porter) and Paul ‘Hot Dog’ Hodes going to come out and clear up the record?  They have all argued that the loss of jobs was some right wing fear mongering.

The same CBO the left swore was non-partisan when it claimed the bill would save money, then that it would cost money if we ended it, can’t suddenly be partisan can it?

Obama StoogesThese are democrats.  Of course they can.  So should we wait for the “Big Pharma, and Big Health care” bought the congressional Budget Office narratives?

And how will Obama’s Bureau Of Laboring Statistics every hide another 800,000 lost jobs?  Though they are doing a fine job with the millions they are hiding now–except from the people who are actually unemployed.

So many unanswered questions.

While you are waiting.  Here’s some video courtesy of Town Hall.com (On the jump) where the CBO admits there will be employment casualties in the war for universal coverage.  Which makes you wonder what would happen if Obama waged war on universal employment?

My bad. He’s already waging that war.

One more distraction before you jump. Queen, the Band? Song–“another one bites the dust;” change the lyrics to..”another wheel off the bus.” CArry that around in your head until November 2012. Ok. Go ahead. Watch the video. I’ll keep quiet. (for a minute)

Can You Smell The Campaign Fires?

After two years of extravagance on the taxpayer dime.  Week after week of high priced parties with  expensive food and high priced entertainment.  Date nights that shut down cities.  Frivolous trips (in his and her jetliners complete with entourage) to various parts of the globe.  Vacation, after vacation, after vacation. And despite the glamor of a designer wardrobe, pimped by the adoring media for the past 24 months, we are now supposed to be impressed by this?

Michelle Obama Wows in $35.00 H&M dress.

I assume she can wear it to church as well?  Now that the Obama’s have taken to going again.

So I’m not sure which is worse.  The Obama’s play acting at modesty of dress and demeanor after two years of “let them eat cake,” or the hordes of fools who will fall for it?

The New Hampshire House RINO Caucus

How a representative votes can tell you a lot about their priorities.  The folks who just  voted against HB 89, who happen to run around with an (R) next to their name, think that state-crushing federal mandates like Obamacare should not be resisted by every means possible.

They seem willing to accept that the Federal government has the right to require citizens to buy something, though I can almost guarantee they would never force you to buy and own a gun for your own self-defense.

A handful of elected “republicans” always seem willing to give up a little more State sovereignty and local control to a distance central power. (A dwindling handful, if you take my meaning).

They are what we lovingly refer to as RINO’s.  Republicans In Name Only.

Now some will argue, RINOs and Democrats mostly, that these folks voted against HB 89, and ACT requiring the NH Attorney General to join the challenge against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, because it was (insert left wing rhetoric here.)  It really does not matter, but I think my favorite is separation of powers which is a silly argument.  How do you legislate anything affecting any department under the governors leadership under those terms.  You can’t.  But I digress. The point is that for most of them this is not their first visit to the RINO rodeo.

These folks are the kind of republicans who might support John Lynch for Governor, or go to a No Labels meeting, or join a left wing run ‘bi-partisan’ House caucus.  Of course that is the only way the democrats will have them.  As democrats they would have no voice in that party at all unless they went all in on the socialist progressive agenda.  They are old school democrats, and unless their only hope is to either form an independent/moderate caucus, or take back the democrat party from the extremist liberals.  There is no longer any room for big government politicians in a small government party.

So without further delay, and to ensure their continued glorification by the left as victims, here are those ‘republicans’ who voted against HB 89 …on the jump!

Supporting A Corrupt Business

Would you stand up in a public hearing and defend an organization implicated in aiding illegal activity, sexual abuse, statutory rape and sex trafficking?  What kind of people would?  How about democrats, union members, and greedy corporate stooges on the take?

If it was anyone but Planned Parenthood, the national media sensation that admits it has a ‘training’ problem, the professional left would be storming the castle not just to demand why taxpayer dollars were begin given to these criminals, but when the bastards were going to be rounded up and put on trial.

There would be bus loads of angry folks protesting outside executives homes, harassing staff and customers.

Left wing bloggers, even at that sad little web site Blue Hampshire, would be disconnecting their brains from their keyboard, bellowing about the injustice and abuse, the violation of civil rights, and another destructive association by a political party full of hateful bigots and misogynists who view women as second class citizens.  A few of them might even ponder running a few people down in the crosswalk.

But this is Planned Parenthood, a national business, a big business, that makes plenty of money while using its status as a “health care provider” to milk taxpayers for money it does not even need.  And there are still a few people here in New Hampshire willing to stand up and say incredibly stupid things in defense of a business model that seems incapable of protecting the interests of the young girls it claims to champion from a life as an underage sex slave.

From this morning’s union leader…

Kary Nealle Jencks, N.H. director of public policy for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England at the end of the article by Paula Tracy–who clearly has no personal agenda–states that…

the bill — even if passes — will not prevent her organization from treating citizens’ needs. Last year, the organization provided $5.5 million in services at its six locations, and is in line to get about $700,000 this year from the state.

This is the last quote in the article, after half a dozen people have wailed like lepers about how much good Planned Parenthood has done for ‘their daughters,’ or how we can’t stop taxpayer funding.

Wouldn’t it have been easier to just put that last quote from Jencks in a short news digest clip? You know, PP directors says we don’t really need your money, so kill the taxpayer funding?   Nope.  It’s at the end so that we get to entertain ourselves with the wailing lepers.

So let us be entertained.

Former Portsmouth Mayor Steve Marchand, a father of two girls, asked legislators not to forget about the economic impact.

“Many (representatives) as candidates ran on liberty and freedom…and to get government out of the way. This bill takes the most personal of… civil liberties and tries to take it away,” he said.

Hey Steve?  What liberties and freedoms are we taking away?  PP just said it wont affect their ability to treat citizens needs.  So how about we consider the taxpayers whose liberty and freedom (and dollars) the “many representatives” ran on protecting, instead of the freedom of a big business suspected of illegal and corrupt behavior to use you as their milk man?

A few hundred thousand here and there, given the huge hole democrat Terie ‘Billion Dollar Deficit’ Norelli left behind, could have a huge “economic impact.”  We cold create or save a few union teachers jobs so they could then take a personal day to go to Concord and protest the de-funding of the left wing deity known as Planned Parenthood.

Steve Marchand, by the way, is one of the leaders of our local No Labels group here in New Hampshire.  Correct me if I’m wrong but I think his label is showing.

Next up …

State Rep. Candice Bouchard, D-Concord, said no health care provider does more to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies than Planned Parenthood.

And she charged the six sponsors of the bill, all Republicans, with failing to focus on economic issues needing immediate attention.

I would agree that no one kills more unborn babies in New Hampshire than planned parenthood.  Unfortunately, democrats have made sure we cannot tell how many unwanted pregnancies are ‘reduced’ by surgical or chemical abortions.

Rep Candice Bouchard (D-self supporting private businesses implicated in sex trafficking still need our tax dollars), is also suffering from the Marchand, No Labels, I have left wing tunnel vision disease.  She plays the same card when she asks why we are not focused on economic issues.  And I have the same answer for her.  Hundred of thousands of taxpayer dollars kept from a huge national business–that may be supporting sexual abuse of young women by the way–could be used to reduce the deficit or save New Hampshire jobs.  How is that not an economic issue?

By the way, the UL Reporter Paula Tracy does not take time to tell us that Rep Bouchard is the chair of NH House/Senate’s Reproductive Rights Caucus. That’s not important though. Nor is the fact that the councils rights do not extend to the unborn child who might be a girl, and entitled to reproductive rights all her own–or she could become a victim of sex trafficking supported by planned parenthood.  You never know.

More… you bet.

Mary Lou Biever of Rochester.. said she relied on material from Planned Parenthood to discuss issues with her daughters, and now, because one of them does not have health insurance, she relies on the organization to provide health screenings and care.

“The attack on Planned Parenthood is an attack on thousands of women in our state,” Biever said.

One more time?  Planned Parenthood says it wont affect services, which leaves us wondering if there are no doctors anywhere else in the state who know their way around a woman’s womb?  And why would a mother of two girls stand up to defend an organization that is implicated in the abuses and illegal trafficking of other young girls elsewhere?

Which brings us back to Jencks, who in the beginning of the article says..

… the bill is intended to undermine settled law — Roe v Wade from 1973 — even though no federal or state tax money covers elective abortions.

“That money is only for cases of rape, incest or when the life of the mother is in danger,” she said.

Would that be before or after the counseling on how to avoid the legal complications of running an underage sex trafficking ring?  Just asking.  Remember, PP is Big business.  It doesn’t need the taxpayer money by its own admission.  And it is associated with people who violate the law and the rights of young women.  Actual rights.  Not the ones Jencks is imagining;  like where Roe v Wade creates a constitutional requirement that sucks taxpayers dry for abortion or even reproductive services of any kind.  Not there.  You just made it up.  Why did you lie?  (You have to.)

All in all very entertaining.  Nice of the reported to let PP contradict everyone in the article.  We also no know that Jencks expects $700,000 from the state to support her little corner of the PP empire.  Makes you wonder how we survived before Planned Parenthood to rule the free world?

In closing, I have a partial list of people who stood up at the hearing and spoke in support of Planned Parenthood and the need for taxpayers to fund a great big business, with a corrupt corporate culture, that does not willingly prohibit teenage prostitution and sex trafficking–presumably so it can continue to provide contraception, medication, and counseling–things your taxpayer dollars could be used for–even though we know they use those dollars for abortions.  (Remember, democrats are positive that you can’t separate your international donations from your domestic ones, to comply with federal campaign laws, so why would a business that can’t keep its own employees from aiding and abetting sexual abuse of minors separate your tax money from their abortion business, and how would they even know?)

Here’s the partial list.

Rep. Timothy Horrigan, Durham – Democrat

Kary N. Jencks, NH Public Policy Director for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE)

Linda Griebsch,  Executive director, Feminist Health Center of Portsmouth (Greenland)

Claire Ebel, exec. dir., NH Civil Liberties Union

Mary Lou Biever, Rochester; testified as a concerned mother – also spoke at PP press conference preceding hearing.

Rep. Candace Bouchard, Concord – Democrat, chair of NH House/Senate’s Reproductive Rights Caucus.

Pilar Olivo, chairman, NARAL-ProChoice NH

John Thyng, identified himself as a spokesman for NH for Health Care, speaking for 83,000

John Thyng is a Political coordinator for SEIU.  NH for Health Care is a local campaign by the SEIU to promote and advance Obamacare  (and taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood as well).   I am told that Mr. Thyng did not mention he was working for SEIU.

What It Means To Support Planned Parenthood

PPProgressive-liberal democrats will present themselves at the hearing for HB 228 on Tuesday February 8th to advocate for the continued public funding of Planned Parenthood in New Hampshire.  So maybe we should ask what it is they could be advocating?

Planned Parenthood has been implicated in a willingness to conceal sex trafficking, hide abortions performed on minors and prostitution.

Trafficking illegal immigrant minors in the sex trade.

And allowing the sexual abuse of minors including statutory rape without consistent and prompt reporting to the proper authorities.

Now I am not claiming that Planned Parenthood in New Hampshire or New England is complicit in any of these acts specifically, though they may be, I cannot say.  But they are guilty by association and it is that association that by itself should exclude them from any taxpayer funded support of any kind–particularly for those who think giving tax dollars to an abortion mill is not reason enough.

Planned Parenthood is guilty ot failing to ingrain in their corporate, medical and professional culture the need to protect and defend the lives and bodies of these young girls, these children, in every office, in every community they serve, before any other corporate, professional or ideological objective.

That has not been the case and those who advocate for them should be considered complicit.

We don’t even need to be offended by the idea of abortion to dismiss any claim they might make to public funding.  It is obvious that Planned Parenthood has not done enough to ensure that in every transaction, the name Planned Parenthood can be associated with the highest ethical standards, and a commitment to working with law enforcement to guard children from serial sexual abuse under any circumstances.  They are ideally positioned to help reduce this kind of abuse, yet that is not the culture they appear to have embedded in their organization.

After years of questionable action or inaction Planned Parenthood has an inferred culture that ensures abortions are “available” to everyone, including the victims of sexual predators, pedophiles and sex traffickers who prey on young girls, before anything else.  So anyone who would stand up and defend that culture must bear that burden as well.

We at GraniteGrok will be taking a particular interest in the list of persons who appear to testify against HB 228.  We will be acquiring and posting the names of everyone who is willing to defend a corporate culture that…

..may be complicit in the use of taxpayer dollars to counsel child molesters and sex traffickers on how to get and use contraception, administer medication to the victims of sexual abuse for STDs….and yes, in those rare occasions when a safe abortion is necessary for a victim of sex trafficking or statutory rape, how to get one without attracting the attention of law enforcement, even though we have been assured that taxpayer dollars are never, ever used for abortions.
Again, it does not matter if any of these things has ever occurred at a Planned Parenthood office in Northern New England, or even New Hampshire.  Planned Parenthood is an international presence.  It is no different than a greedy bank, or and evil insurance company or a fossil fuel energy business.  It has a culture and it is responsible for what that culture is willing to allow.  And the left has very well defined rules for guilt by association.  So I think it is time they got used to living up to those same rules themselves.

HB 228 is AN ACT prohibiting the department of health and human services from entering into a contract with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. or any organization that provides abortion services and prohibiting the use of public funds or insurance for abortion services.

Docket

Public Hearing: 2/8/2011 1:30 PM LOB 205

Final Note: When the recent videos were released implicating PP in wrongdoing, the institutional left called a conference call to figure out how to defend them and cover it up.  No worries about the sex trafficking of minors, let’s just make sure PP gets though this unscathed.

Granite State Progress Goes Tucson

GraniteGrok has a weekly on-line internet broadcast called GrokTalk! that streams every Saturday from 9am – 11am–posting pod-casts after.   I do some behind the scenes production work, occasionally co-host, and every now and then call in.

This week I did a call-in because last week Zandra Rice Hawkins of Granite State Progress attended Congressman Guinta’s town hall in Laconia, and at one point decided to storm up towards the podium to ‘set the record straight.’  She was not tackled, tasered or shot.  In fact she spoke her mind–as liberals are wont to do–without interruption and was even given a chance to ask questions despite essentially hijacking the event.

While I have to wonder if she was hoping for some sign of violence it did not occur.  In fact she was not  escorted out, arrested, or even asked to leave.  The congressman listened and responded, allowing follow ups as he had throughout the event.

Compare that to the behavior of our former, ever-paranoid and remarkably unstable Carol Shea-Porter, keeper of the egg timer, refuser of follow ups, and high horse evictor of conscientious objectors who dare to disagree with her in any tone she finds unworthy.  Rude and elitist only scratches the surface.

Mr. Guinta, so far, has shown a lot more class than the woman he replaced.  You don’t have to agree with him politically to appreciate that.

So back to Hawkins.

In celebration of her going Tucson (that’s charging a sitting member of congress) just weeks after that tragedy,  and given ex-Kongresswoman Carol Che-Porter’s history at Town halls on both sides of the podium, I threw together a “Public Service Announcement” about Zandra and the group she leads to commemorate the event.

Skip plays it in this segment from GrokTalk! this past Saturday, and we discuss it briefly after.

Norelli Tries To Feed You The Blue Pill (again)

Democrats latest rallying cry is that we can’t cut the state budget if it means downshifting costs on the towns.  But they didn’t seem to care too much about all the downshifting when they were doing it.

But that is what you get when you let left wing clowns run your state.  Larsen/Norelli/Suckley Investment Advisers Inc, the Fat Cat Executives of the Tax and Spend Democrat Party of New Hampshire, gave the state government a one billion dollar bonus ($1,000,000,000.00) on the backs of the towns and the taxpayers during a job shedding, wage declining recession.

And we are now to believe this concerns them?  The only thing that concerns the Democrats is if and how they can blame someone else for their destruction, and find a way back into power so that the lefts only solution to a billion dollar deficit can be enacted as swiftly as possible.

The democrats one trick donkey is to create debt so they can raise taxes.  The debt is intentional, the complete loss of political power in the state however was not.  So as the newly elected Republican majority, which has not chosen to create more taxes to deal with the debt they inherited, is looking for ways to trim spending to stop the bleeding, the democrats are content to cry and take pot shots.  So the brilliant financial experts who created the debts are aghast at efforts to cut spending–any spending.

One of the “experts,” ex-speaker Terie “Billion Dollar Deficit” Norelli, (D-Madoff Investments) commenting in the Union Leader on the latest House GOP budget/revenue estimates and the Republican plan to start by cutting the state budget by 2%…

…. scoffed at the GOP plan, saying the tax cuts amount to $1.22 per resident.

She (also) said the plan will force costs onto local communities. “It is not right to balance the budget on the backs of local property taxpayers,” she said. “But Bill O’Brien’s plan would do just that. It will cause unnecessary harm to taxpayers, seniors, and our most vulnerable citizens.”

Really?  So is a $1.22/resident less government a meaningless press trick (we’re scoffing at that paltry effort), or is it harming taxpayers?  And how does that contrast to the inherited deficit of one-thousand million, that’s one billion (or $1,000,000,000.00) dollars in democrat spending for which there was no New Hampshire money when they spent it the first time, and none in any of the years to follow?

Well that’s not so hard to figure out.  Terie “Billion Dollar Deficit” Norelli downshifted the left wing agenda onto the backs of New Hampshire residents for a cool billion (for starters), which is at a cost of about $750.00 per resident–money we will have to collect off the backs of the towns and taxpayers, seniors, and our most vulnerable citizens.  A billion doesn’t just appear out of thin air, yet the democrats still spent it without caring where it came from.

But they either had to know you would be taxed to pay for the billions or they are the worst fiscal stewards in New Hampshire history and you still have to pay.  That must be what the democrats mean by the “Party of Choice.”  Pick your poison, either way you get screwed.

But Norelli thinks there is another solution.  She and the NHDP have their PR campaign.  It is just like that infamous Blue pill from the movie the Matrix. You swallow it and go back to the illusion of competence under left wing management and forget where this deficit came from.  You can believe, whatever you want to believe. Forget that they lied about their debt and called it a surplus during the election.  Ignore all the cost downshifting they did to make that debt look less like state spending, and more a local problem.   Ignore the creative accounting to hide incompetent money management or all the new taxes and fees you have been paying, or the effort to pass another business tax, a soda tax, or all the efforts to pass broad based taxes.  The only answer to a Billion dollar problem that democrats can see is to keep taxing and Norelli proves it every time she opens her mouth.

To a democrat the only responsible “cut” is to your income in the form of a new tax to pay for more state spending.  If you think that’s not a cram down then you are either in the democrat party or you work in the media.
