We Can’t Ignore The People Hurt By Obamacare

[T]two years ago, I was a seven-month-pregnant widow with one toddler who got a letter two weeks after my husband died, informing me I’d lost my third or fourth health insurance plan since the Affordable Care Act passed. If you’ll remember, the promise was that I could keep my plan if I liked it. I could not.

I predicted what would happen to my family’s insurance, and to much less fortunate people subjected to the exchanges with us, many of whom have seen doubled premiums and tripled deductibles. If you’ll remember, the promise was everyone’s premiums would go down. They did not. More…

“There’s been this negative correlation between income taxes and winning percentage in both the NBA and the NFL every single year for the past 20 years,” Hembre said. “It’s not saying that income taxes are the only factor. It’s saying that income taxes are a factor, just like the weather. Every single year for the past 20, there’s been this negative correlation, and it’s been growing in the NBA.” More…

What NH Democrats Really Mean When They Claim “Rape Culture” is “Pervasive” at State House

According to Democrat State Representative, Debra Altschiller, “… rape culture is pervasive at the State House.”  She defines “rape culture” as “a society or environment whose prevailing social attitudes have the effect of normalizing or trivializing sexual assault and abuse.”  Altschiller claims to “have witnessed this on a weekly basis in Concord.”

Altschiller then provides what she calls “just a few examples.”  These “examples,” even if representative, fall far, far short of demonstrating a “pervasive” “rape culture” that manifests itself  “on a weekly basis.” More…

The Baby is Not The Adversary

In my advocacy work, I meet many, yes many, women who have become pregnant by violence, rape, incest, and sex trafficking. Some submitted to abortion, some did not. Dr. David Reardon has done research and written works on the subject. In his work, Victims and Victors, he adds statistical data and real solutions for the issues raised in these situations.  More…
