Two Huge Class Action lawsuits against the DNC (You Probably Didn’t Know About)

[T]he intense media focus on the White House has meant substantially less ink, electrons and time have been spent covering two, significant class action lawsuits against the Democratic National Committee:

1) It’s shenanigans during the primary to weigh the nomination in Hillary Clinton’s favor.
2) Failure to pay its campaign workers for overtime.

Town Tuitioning Bill Advances

Yesterday Senate Bill 8, one of this year’s town tuitioning bills, made a major advancement as it passed with amendment #1786 in a 13 to 6 House Education Committee vote. It received bipartisan support with all Republicans and two Democrats, Rep. Barbara Shaw (Hillsborough 6) and Rep. Linda Tanner (Sullivan 9), voting for the bill.

The amendment empowers local school boards to make contracts with non-sectarian private schools as “school tuition programs.” Although this is a new designation, it is not a new concept as school boards may already enter into agreements with public and private schools. Private school placement is more common for students with special needs, but some districts offer it for other students, too. More…

What shook me to my core was the hall director’s response, labeling the incident an act of “bias” and “vandalism,” and then closing the email by calling on her residents to be “positive.”  More…

FBI agents arrested an Arizona man last week for threatening to shoot Rep. Martha McSally, a Republican who represents the same Arizona district Gabrielle Giffords represented when she was shot in the head in 2011.

Steve Martan, 58, left three separate expletive-laden messages on McSally’s congressional office voicemail in early May, according to a criminal complaint filed Friday in a U.S. District Court in Tuscon. In the first, he talked about wringing the congresswoman’s neck. More…
