School Choice for NH: Two Big Wins Today

The Georgia Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the state’s tax-credit scholarship program may continue, resolving a three-year legal battle. This is the Institute for Justice’s sixth state supreme court win for school choice. This decision will ensure that 13,000 children can continue to use the scholarship program for their educations.

Also, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Columbia vs Comer case that religious institutions can be eligible for state funding programs in a seven to two ruling.  | More…

Will This Supreme Court Decision Change NH Law: Croydon Bill and Ed Tax Credit Scholarships?

In a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court has declared that a state may not withhold an available public benefit on account of religious status.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of a Missouri church that sued the state after being denied taxpayer funds for a playground project because of a provision that prohibits state funding for religious entities.

This ruling suggests to me the possibility that public education tax dollars for public school tuition…  | More…

They held the event when most Granite Staters are working and paraded sob stories pushed by poverty pimps across the state. Timberlane Regional Middle School And Spotlight Award Renewal

It is genuinely good when our schools and their staff earn recognition for work well done.  Parents should understand, however, that in the ed biz, some recognitions are completely unrelated to academic achievement – an issue previously raised by Arthur Green with regard to the High School of Excellence Award. You will note that there is not one question in this renewal form relating to academic achievement. | More…
