US marshals: New Hampshire ‘fugitive of week’ found tanning in backyard

U.S. marshals say they found a New Hampshire “fugitive of the week” tanning in a family member’s backyard in Massachusetts and arrested her.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force featured 35-year-old Amy Beth Tremblay in local media in New Hampshire on July 12. An arrest warrant had been issued for her in March on bail violations following a drug conspiracy charge. | More…

NH State Police Bag NH Man With Kilo Of Fentanyl

A Queen City man was arrested yesterday and held on $500,000 cash bail after a multi-month Operation Granite Hammer drug investigation in New Hampshire, according to state police. Kory Almand, 34, of Manchester, was arrested on July 25, 2017, and charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute the controlled drug fentanyl, three counts of sale of a controlled drug fentanyl, one count of felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of resisting arrest. | More…

Camp Constitution Wont Be Returning to Rindge in 2018

Camp Constitution, the conservative camp for kids which featured a “climate realist” as a speaker this year, won’t return to its Rindge site in 2018.

Ex-Exeter Guidance Counselor Kristie Torbick Faces More Sexual Assault Charges

New charges have been brought against a former Exeter High School guidance counselor.

Kristie Torbick has been indicted by a Strafford County grand jury on a charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two charges of felonious sexual assault.

The indictments alleged these incidents took place in January of this year in Lee.

Million Dollar National Science Foundation Grant Funds New Anti-Bias Guide from UNH

Two years ago, in July of 2015, the University of New Hampshire made national news over a Bais-Free Language guide which suggested, among other things, that the word ‘American’ is problematic. The media firestorm produced a clarification from UNH President Mark Huddleston and a defense of free speech, a retraction of the guide from university servers, and a complete retooling of their Inclusive Excellence/snowflake diversity digital landscape.

The well-funded Orwellian administrative and educational infrastructure behind all of that, however, remained unchanged as did the culture that felt the Bias language guide was both important and necessary.

Now, the National ‘Science’ Foundation has given the University of New Hampshire a million dollars ($999,752) to, “explore strategies for preventing “bias incidents” perpetrated against minorities in science,…(and create a) “bias awareness guide and intervention tool.”  |More…

New Hampshire Police Face Million Dollar Lawsuit After Arresting Man for Recording Them

The city of Manchester, New Hampshire and two of its police officers are facing a lawsuit for more than a million dollars after arresting a man for audio-recording the officers as they searched his home.

Alfredo Valentin, 43, was arrested on March 3 after police conducted a no-knock raid on his home in search of drugs that belonged to a tenant and was later fired from his job because of the arrest, according to the lawsuit. | More…

NEW IPSWICH – Hundreds of residents in the New Ipswich area reported hearing a ‘boom’ and feeling the ground shake, resembling an explosion, around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Social media was buzzing with hundreds of people commenting on the unusual event.

Police: Man staked out fitness club before attack

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Police said a New Hampshire man was parked outside a fitness club for nearly eight hours before attacking a woman as she got off work there — punching her 39 times — after accusing her boyfriend of stealing thousands of dollars from him, according to court documents released Tuesday.

Jordan Lamonde, 22, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, pleaded not guilty in Dover to a second-degree assault charge in connection with the June 12 nighttime attack on the 18-year-old woman outside a Planet Fitness gym in Rochester. He was jailed on $150,000 bail, but was awaiting transition to a supervised county corrections program. | More…
