NH Restaurant Accused of Over-Serving Drinks to 3 Who Died

BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) — A Chinese restaurant in New Hampshire has been indicted on charges of over-serving alcohol to three men who died in a 2016 car crash.

Jack Perreault, Malachi Davis and Hunter Vars, all of East Kingston, were ejected from the car in Kensington on Feb. 29, 2016, after it hit several trees. Davis and Vars, both passengers, were 21 and died at the scene. The driver, Perreault, who was 20, died several days later. | More…

Just 28% Think Americans Have True Freedom of Speech Today

Few Americans think they have true freedom of speech today and think the country is too politically correct.

Sanborn Superintendent Says Trust-Building a Priority

At a Sanborn Regional School District (SRSD) School Board (SB) meeting on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, the overall theme was enunciated by interim Superintendent Tom Ambrose as he discussed multiple meetings he has held with members of the community, elected school officials, SRSD Administrators, SRSD parents and other community members: there is a need for transparency and open and accessible communication in the District, which all can lead to trust.

The School Board will be implementing a new policy of having everything that takes place at SB meetings comply with the posted agenda, including Board and Public comments.

AFP-NH to host tax reform forum in Portsmouth

MANCHESTER — Americans for Prosperity – New Hampshire (AFP-NH) will host the third and final event in a series of forums on tax reform in Portsmouth on Wednesday.

The event will bring together individuals and business owners who have been impacted by the tax code who will share their stories.

Maine Gov. LePage: Removing Confederate statues like losing 9/11 memorial

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Taking down statues of Confederate figures is “just like” removing a monument to victims of the 9/11 attacks, Gov. Paul LePage said Thursday, adding that the white nationalist and far-left protesters in Charlottesville over the weekend were “equally as bad” and “disgusting.”

Shark attack off the coast of Cape Cod caught on video

CAPE COD — A video posted by a Massachusetts native shows a shark attacking a seal off the coast of Cape Cod.

The clip was posted by Patrick O’Brian on Twitter and shows blood spreading across the water at Nauset beach.

Lifeguards were on duty and it appears that no one was hurt.

Groups to seek info on equity in schools

MANCHESTER — Civil rights groups and city educators are seeking information from the Manchester School District on its efforts to “achieve equity” in Queen City schools.
