Sununu bumps veteran labor leaders from workers comp appeals board

As Gov. Chris Sununu looks to “shake up the status quo,” he has decided not to reappoint two longtime stalwarts of the state’s organized labor movement to a key panel charged with deciding workers compensation disputes.

Former AFL-CIO President Mark MacKenzie and former State Employees Association Executive Director Denis Parker have served on the Compensation Appeals Board for 20 years and 16 years, respectively. Epsom NH School Board votes, 3-2, to keep Confederate flag in mural

Shawna Bateman wishes she could tell her two sons that racism in America doesn’t exist anymore, but she knows she can’t do that.

Instead, she wants a mural at the Epsom Central School that includes a depiction of the Confederate flag to be a teachable moment for the community and its students.

“I would rather my kids come to me and say, ‘What is this symbol? Why am I seeing it on the news? NH Vape Shop Owner Charged With Sexually Assaulting Customer

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The owner of a New Hampshire vape shop has been charged with sexually assaulting a customer in his store.

Sixty-one-year-old Virender Yadav, of Salem, Massachusetts, is accused of assaulting a woman on Sunday as she shopped at his Concord store. Police say surveillance video shows that Yadav repeatedly tried to kiss and grope the woman while thrusting against her. | More…
