Newport resident sues school district over budget mishap

NEWPORT — Bert Spaulding Sr. has filed a motion in Sullivan County Superior Court claiming the Newport School District presented an erroneous budget to town voters, resulting in excess revenues that are now to be collected absent corrective action.

“By failing to disclosed ‘cost items’ as required by law, the Defendant (Newport School District) has effectively perpetuated an inaccurate and deceptive budget to the voters,” Spaulding’s motion alleges. | More…

Judge grants summary judgment against Gill in defamation suit

In his recent order, Tucker ruled that Gill is liable for damages “because the undisputed factual record establishes the defendant failed to exercise reasonable care in publishing without valid privilege a false and defamatory statement of fact’ about each plaintiff.”

“The judge was pretty clear. It’s been all talk for Michael Gill and not a shred of evidence ever produced,” Greiner said Thursday. “It got to the point where the only choice was to give us summary judgment.” *| More…

NH MOSQUE PREACHES JIHAD, POLICE CHIEF CRIES “ISLAMOPHOBIA”

The New Hampshire Union Leader broke the story several weeks ago, not by reporting on the investigation of the mosque, or even what was being claimed about it, but on the reaction from the mosque leaders and local law enforcement officials, both of whom agreed that the mosque had been unfairly accused. Since the Union Leader, however, did not detail the charges, there was no way to tell whether or not this was true. Then last Wednesday, investigative journalist James Simpson published the evidence at Bombthrowers, and made it clear: this mosque warrants investigation, and the police chief, Nick Willard, is derelict in his duty. | More…

How NH Discriminates Against its Own Qualified Citizen Voters

Under the current unconstitutional “state law” a non-resident voter can give a “domicile address” for voting while his out of state “residence” remains exempt from New Hampshire’s RSA 91-A Right to Know Law.

So, a college student using a dormitory as a “voting domicile” and who also pays out-of-state tuition to one of NH’s state colleges can give the bulk mail address of the college as his “voting domicile.”

The same out-of-state student cannot legally sign a notarized state college domicile form to receive in-state tuition without the potential of the state college penalizing that student if it is discovered he is not domiciled in NH. | More…

‘White Marble’ of Ancient Statues Supports White Supremacy

A University of Iowa professor argued that the appreciation of beauty inspired by the “white marble” of classical statuary supports white supremacy today.

“The equation of white marble with beauty is not an inherent truth of the universe; it’s a dangerous construct that continues to influence white supremacist ideas today,” Sarah Bond, assistant professor of classics, wrote in an article for the art blogazine Hyperallergic. | More…

Democrat Socialists Admit Violence is Intrinsic to their Political Philosophy

We’ve always known Democrats are violent by nature and now they are admitting it.

Anti-fascist activists, or “Antifa,” increasingly mobilized in the wake of President Trump’s election, are unapologetic about what they describe as the necessary use of violence to combat authoritarianism.

While both experts on the movement and activists within it emphasize that not everyone who participates in anti-fascist activism engages in violence, they say the use of force is intrinsic to their political philosophy.

Before you go off half-cocked about how not all Democrats are violent, remind me what the not-so-violent factions are doing to curb the excesses of the violent faction? | More…

Sky doesn’t fall: NH voter residency law works

Now that the circus has left town, can the grown-ups talk about New Hampshire election laws?

The Presidential Commission on Voter Integrity held its first meeting at St. Anselm College this week, and both sides of the political spectrum repeated self-serving excuses about stolen elections.

Kansas Secretary of State, and commissioner vice-chair, Kris Kobach, repeated the canard that voters crossing the border cost Donald Trump New Hampshire’s four electoral voters. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen repeated the baseless conspiracy theory that Russians cost Hillary Clinton the presidency. *| More…
