WOODSTOCK — A U.S. Customs and Border Protection checkpoint along Interstate 93 southbound resulted in the arrests of eight illegal immigrants and marijuana being seized.

The checkpoint was set up along the same straightaway as one that was held over a three-day period in late August.

This time, U.S. Border Patrol agents based out of the Beecher Falls Border Patrol Station ran the checkpoint from Sept. 26 to 28. The checkpoint required all vehicles to stop. *| More…
