Seperation Anxiety-John Lynch’s real policy on under age sex

Just a reminder of how Gov. John Lynch condoned under age sex.

Now I missed the original press conference, but I bet I know how it didn’t go.

 

CONCORD NH–Ladies and Gentlemen, today, by rescinding New Hampshire’s parental notification law, I believe that we  advance the democrat parties ideals and demonstrate the kind  of progress we envision for the State of New Hampshire.  While a young woman still can’t do a hell of a lot in those tender years from 12-16; she still can’t be trusted to have a driver’s license;  she still won’t be able to vote, or be permitted to smoke a cigarette until she is 18; she won’t be able to legally drink alcohol until she is 21; and she will still need her parents consent to donate a kidney, or to have other forms of elective surgery, or-actually–to go on a sanctioned field trip with her middle school or High School; we want her to know that is she gets pregnant, the State of New Hampshire, and the Democrat party are there for her; as long as there are no cameras present during the act of conception–because we still have to take a strong stand against child pornography here in New Hampshire.  

 

One quick reminder, while we see this as a necessary step forward, New Hampshire will not allow artificial insemination in women under the age of 18, so getting pregnant has to be an accident, and it is limited to intercourse …..with members….. of the , ummm, opposite sex, who can’t be any older than….because that’s illegal…

 

In closing I want to mention…just a quick reminder really….that we are not actually promoting underage sex, or saying that someone..anyone really…can or should have sex with underage girls.  That’s not what we are saying.  I, well..here’s to progress and a victory for Choice!  Thank you.

 

 

The law never went into effect—but only on a technicality.  Democrats, and your Democrat Governor , wanted this.  They voted for it, made it the law.  It doesn’t make any sense.  Not much that they want does when you really look at it.   

Make your own choice.  Vote these idiots out of office.

Vet-ting Shea-Porter’s prioities

Carol Shea-Porter likes to give constitutional rights to terrorists.  She favored the Boumedine decision to provide Habeus Corpus rights to terror detainees, not because they should be entitled to them but becasue she has been told to go against anything George Bush favors.  She also supported giving these murderers 4th amendment protections by hamstringing FISA, and surveillance of enemy communications, pretty much for the same reason.  (Carol does some pandering, claiming civil liberties violations-but that’s a bunch of pap.  It’s much like the lefts fear-mongering on the death-penalty-kills-innocents lies; great sound-bite, absolutely no conclusive evidence that it’s ever happened, but lets use it anyway.)

The only group that stands to benefit more than the terrorists themselves by Shea-Porters votes (besides Nancy Pelosi who is something of a domestic policy terrorist in her own right) is the Lefts trial lawyer buddies–big campaign supporters of the Democrat party.  In both cases trial lawyers get lots of work, and the potential for big settlements from companies who want to avoid the expense of decades of pointless litigation.  This is of particular interest becasue while Shea-Porter is doing a bang up job of handing our rights out the the people our troops are fighting against, in theoryto protect these rights so that the terrorists can share them with us, her supporters have been promoting the benefits that a congresswoman Shea-Porter provides to all veterans, and the troops on the ground.  This is of course quite subjective.

Sure, but can he do anyting else?

Over the past 10 years Obama has spent well over half that time campaigning for his next job.  That’s like hiring a guy to work the front desk, but he’s never at the front desk; instead of doing what you hired him for he’s upstairs chatting up your boss looking for his next promotion.   Given that Obama’s history proves he doesn’t much care for America the way it is (has been, or would be without Him in charge), and clearly favors the globalization mantra of his party (which makes America about as important globally as Cameroon,is the Obama world tour 2008 his first foray in an effort to be king of the world?  Is he already working the ropes, looking for the next big gig?  It’s clear that the only experience Obama really has is at campaiging so should we expect a President Obama to be so busy chatting up the global community on his rise to immortality that he will abandon his sworn duty–at least 50% of the time–to protect and serve the interests of ‘Our’ Nation?

I’d bet on it.

Carol-Shea gets some Flood insurance

This weeks Merrimack Journal again has a “Letter to the editor” from another relatively well connected democrat who is endorsing another democrat—Carol Shea-Porter—without any specific mention of his party particulars.  Peter Flood has a distinguished list of credits including service to his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the 82ndairborne, had Dick Gephardt campaign for him in his 1998 loss to Sununu for NH-01, once had the now newly minted Obama VP Joe Biden over at a House Party, and most recently lost to Shelia Roberge in the 2006 district 9 race for State Senate.

 

Hardly a disinterested party, Democrat Flood comments on the advantages to veterans of having Carol Shea-Porter re-elected and not Jeb Bradley.  Mr. Flood makes a plea to fellow veterans not to be duped by anyone with veteran’s credentials who claims to support candidate Bradley.  One might say the same of Peter Flood in this case, particularly since he made no effort to contest the Veterans policy positions of John Stephen, who also has a shot at challenging Carol for NH-01.   Candidate Stephen has a better plan than either Bradley or Shea-Porter, and his is spelled out in significant detail, a benefit Ms. Shea-Porter does not currently come equipped with. (Not that I could find, anyway) So is the Journal showing a preference again?

Under new management–PLEASE!

Gov. Lynch’s almost-ignored approval of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) a few months back is indicative of how the cataracts have grown wildly across New Hampshire’s traditional vision of a limited and responsible government.  RGGI will make energy in New Hampshire more expensive and no one can dispute that. The research shows it, even tries to write it off as a wash because the State will get increased revenue from it.   

 

Since Lynch has condoned laundering tax money through the energy companies, in the form of increased energy prices to consumers–that happen to relate directly to how much more money ends up in the state coffers–is anyone in the press going to question this backhanded abandonment of his promise to veto a broad based tax?  This is a broad based tax.  And why is a state that is currently begging for federal fuel aid like some Dickensian orphan, signed on to a program that is almost guaranteed to make that need greater each and every year?   

 

We’re getting Lynch’d.

The democrats had two years to send us a message about their ideas on good governance, and that message appears to be pay up.

Show me the Money!

I suppose I just failed to follow the “support the troops not the war” pandering to its most logical conclusion, thinking all along that the Left might actually understand what supporting the troops really means, you know, like paying for the stuff that makes them “The troops.”  Even the average misguided anti-gun boob can be trained to announce proudly that the militia should have the guns, all while the Democrats stumble over each other to get at the nearest camera to announce that we are spending too much on defense and the war.  I guess they didn’t actually think we’d want to pay for them.     So in reality, it seems at least, the only ‘Troops’ the Left really likes are the ones they can convert into cash-sinks for social programs, and even then it’s probably not because they bravely served to protect our rights and deserve these benefits–filtered through their bureaucracy first– but because they lived to benefit from the Lefts “right” to provide government largess. 

Every democrat between the coasts has a gripe about how expensive the war is, and how much we spend on defense, and how we should be using that money to “help the middle class, but the fact is that we spend five times more on social programs than defense, all at the expense of the middle class.  Maybe they just run out of time before they get to that part?  That’s ok, I’m here to help.  (Charts and details on the jump)

Trapped in a ‘Webb’ of deception

Merrimack, August 7th: In a letter by Fred Morse, posted at the Merrimack Journal on-line (I don’t know if it made the print edition) Mr. Morse quotes the BBC’s Justin Webb to justify his interpretation of some things McCain has said that they (Fred and Justin) both seem to believe only serves the terrorist’s warlike nature. That because of this McCain could be a dangerous president to have.  He quotes Webb…

“Islamic terrorists want war.  They want suffering – among others and their own people alike. They would surely surmise that McCain will give them what they want. I think al-Qaeda would back McCain.”

Justin isn’t even equipped to get it, and Fred can’t be bothered to do more than quote the man to justify his own agenda.  Learn why on the jump…

All the opinion that’s fit to print

Letters to the editor are probably the simplest way for a publication to openly express its actual opinions on matters of policy.  Opinion pages are popular.  Using its editorial prerogative the paper can publish letters by “concerned residents” that might just happen to represent some of their own personal opinions without troubling themselves over the need for balance.   They can simply ignore any letter that might rebut those “opinions” effectively, claim it was too long, too short, inappropriate, or that it was an attack on another letter writer, so that few readers ever see a lucid opposing opinion.   The editors might excuse this practice with a perfunctory nod to some opposing viewpoint by publishing any number of badly written responses which could possibly strengthen the position the editor(s) favors while still pretending to offer the much sought after balance they claim to live for.

 

This recent item I pulled off the Merrimack Journal web-site, dated August 14, was posted at the bottom of their front page (today), and presents a political opinion that favors Senate candidate Jeanne Shaheen.  I have no issue with that.  My problem is that the Journal fails to mention that the author is not just some local Jane narrating a pithy yarn about her medical travails, but appears to be a long time, currently active, Democrat campaign worker, who was once (wait for it) the office manager for Jeanne Shaheen’s 1997 campaign.

The BIGGER the lie…

The fantasy Democrats are expecting you to embrace in regard to taxes, is that no matter what the cost estimates may be for all their new government programs, no matter how many billions of dollars they will require annually to support, no matter what method they come up with to pay for it all, the democrats will not be taxing YOU.

It doesn’t even matter what programs, whose selling them, or how much they will cost.  They promise that YOU will benefit from these programs.  YOU will reap the rewards.  But YOU won’t have to pay. 

You see there is this mysterious “someone else” who is flitting the bill.  Someone who will not feel the least bit affected by a multi-trillion dollar shift in ‘their’ financial portfolio from earnings, to taxes.   This ‘someone’ will simply absorb this massive expansion of government, and each one that follows, without feeling the slightest inclination to downstream these costs to others.

Something for nothing.  But there is no such thing.  Can’t you see that?

EVIL!

The Evil oil speculators have “speculated” the price of oil back down to $113/barrel, a $34/barrel drop from its high of around $147 a few weeks ago when Chancellor Pelosi claimed Bush’s lifting the off-shore drilling restriction was a meaningless gesture. (Unlike her two years as Speaker).  What I find most amusing about this is that one of the many stupid democrat excuses for high gas prices was that speculators were getting rich off the middle class.  But even as the price of oil goes down, the evil oil speculators are still getting rich.  You see Nancy, the selling price is not what makes them rich, it’s the speculating on where the price will go next that makes them rich.   George Bush said see I’m serious about increasing supply, they guessed the price would go down…tap tap…is this thing turned on?

So should we now speculate that there will be a litany of moans and groans from Democrats about how “evil oil speculators are getting rich off the middle class by driving down the price of oil?”  Of course not it’s an obvious lie; as opposed to their previous misrepresentation of the facts for political points. (also known as a lie)  Of course it is entirely possible that some of the dumbo-crats who just blindly toe the party line (Carol Shea-Porter and Jeanne Shaheen come immediately to mind) really do just that, without any introspection or independent fact checking whatsoever.  Speculators do what? 

This is hardly a flattering trait for someone you have appointed to represent your interests, because it proves they are more than willing to ignore your interests, and run off and sell whatever the party tells them to sell you, or more likely what the greenbacked green PAC’s want them to sell you.  Bought and sold takes on a whole new meaning. Doesn’t seem too hard to see whose really evil here.
