Will Firecrackers Finally Be Legal In New Hampshire?

A bill to legalize firecrackers in New Hampshire passed both the House and Senate and the governor intends to sign it.

The bill passed the Senate Friday. Gov. Chris Sununu’s spokesman Benjamin Vihstadt said Sununu is expected to sign it into law.

Firework retailers in New Hampshire said the new law will bring them closer in line with states like Maine, where firecrackers are legal to sell. More…

On an Unsafe School Bus Stop

Thank you for reporting on the Lake View bus stop issue in Sandown, “Green and Gordon Discuss Sandown School Bus Issue.” As was reported, Sandown says the bus stop is a school district issue and the school district says the fundamental problem is a town issue.

New Hampshire school administrator arrested at North Shore strip club…

The dean of students at a New Hampshire high school is facing charges after he allegedly got too close to dancers at a Salisbury, Massachusetts strip club, entered the club’s women’s room and struggled with police officers who attempted to handcuff him.

The Newburyport News reports that Peter A. Gagnon, the 37-year-old dean of students at Souhegan High School in Amherst, N.H., was arraigned Thursday on charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest. More…

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she is “troubled” by former President Barack Obama’s decision to give a Wall Street speech for $400,000 this year.

Officials say drought is mostly over in New Hampshire

The drought is mostly gone and so are most – but not all – restrictions on water usage.
