Police swarm Hampton NH house, arrest ‘violent fugitive’
HAMPTON — Police in SWAT gear with guns drawn swarmed a home on Fairfield Drive Thursday afternoon in a seven-hour standoff with a man authorities described as a “violent fugitive” wanted in connection with an armed robbery and assault in Massachusetts.
Local police and members of the Seacoast Emergency Response Team remained outside the home at 7 Fairfield Drive into the evening, eventually entering the home shortly after 7 p.m. to take the man into custody. | More…

Voter Registration, Fetal Homicide, And School Choice bills sent to NH Governor
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire Senate accepted the House’s changes to bills on voter registration, fetal homicide, and school choice on Thursday and sent them to Gov. Chris Sununu, who said he will sign them.
Thursday was the deadline for House and Senate lawmaker to accept each others’ amendments to proposed legislation or set up committees of conference to settle differences between the bodies, and both sides made quick work of that task with little or no debate. | More…

Prosecutors drop rape charges against former Proctor Academy student
The Merrimack County Attorney’s office has dismissed its case against a former Proctor Academy student accused of sexual assault.
Derek Tillotson, 20, of Bow was scheduled to stand trial this week in Merrimack County Superior Court in Concord on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of simple assault. The case was removed from Monday’s trial docket after prosecutors dropped the five charges Friday. | More…

Two NH Mayors have Signed on to Uphold Paris Agreement
Only two New Hampshire Mayors (so far) have climbed into (or is it out of) the climate cult closet.
Climate Mayors (aka, Mayors National Climate Action Agenda, or MNCAA) is a network of 285 U.S. mayors — representing over 61 million Americans in red states and blue states — working together to strengthen local efforts for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting efforts for binding federal and global-level policy making. Climate Mayors recently released an open letter to President Trump to oppose his actions thus far against climate action. In January, 30 Climate Mayors issued an EV RFI to show automakers and manufacturers that 114,000 of their cities’ cars and trucks could be electrified.
