“The audit was disturbing when it exposed the dysfunction of the chancellor and his administration,” state Sen. John Reagan, R-Deerfield, said in an email to Watchdog.org. “I am most curious how the Board of Trustees has allowed this to continue. This includes the lack of accounting controls.”
Among the questionable spending cited in the audit was a college president’s $32,500 purchase of a new 2013 Honda Pilot EX-L with a leather interior.
