Voting today for vacant District 16 state Senate seat

MANCHESTER – Today is primary day in state Senate District 16, with the lone primary contest being between Democrats Kevin Cavanaugh and Jim Normand.

One of the Manchester men will face former Sen. David Boutin, R-Hooksett, and Jason Dubrow, L-Dunbarton, in a special election July 25.

The vacancy occurred with the sudden death of Sen. Scott McGilvray, D-Hooksett, in March. The district covers Bow, Candia, Dunbarton, Hooksett, and Manchester wards 1, 2 and 12. More…
