Keene City Council approves $61.4 million budget

Keene’s 2017-18 budget has been set, and with it a projected increase of 27 cents per $1,000 property valuation to the city’s portion of the tax rate.

The City Council voted unanimously Thursday night to approve the $61,379,413 budget, which will take effect July 1.

As a result, the city’s portion of the property tax on a house assessed at $200,000 is expected to increase by $54. More…
