Parents Speak Out on Education Saving Accounts
Several parents spoke at the House Education Committee’s public hearing on the Education Saving Account bill, Senate Bill 193, on April 4th. One of the parents that support the bill is Adrianna, a single mom from Kingston. Through tears she talked about accountability to parents – not a school board and not politicians. She said that as a parent, she knows what is in the best interests of her children. She knows their needs and personalities. …New Hampshire has some of the most burdensome requirements for braiders. Before I could twist even a single strand of hair legally, I needed a cosmetologist license. That meant I would need to complete either 1,500 hours of cosmetology training (which can cost nearly $20,000) or apprentice under a licensed cosmetologist for 3,000 hours. N.H. Senate to consider bill that would deregulate some bitcoin transactions
Among the geekiest of potential new state laws – one that would exempt some types of bitcoin transactions from oversight by the state banking commission – is about to get its day in the Senate.
The bill passed recently out of the Senate Commerce Committee on a 3-2 vote, and is slated to be voted on by the full Senate on Thursday.
It is the latest step in a long tussle over how, if at all, consumers should be protected when using virtual currencies like bitcoin. More…
