Pine Tree Ramblings (Vol 3) – Rebellious Acts

The NFL thugs on their knees, the Antifa children-of-the-corn and the countless Sherry Frost nutcakes who see “oppression” in every blade of grass.  It is nothing more than Pecksniffian silliness.  I have no doubt this will all end with a whimper, leaving no lasting mark on our country or society.

But we do have examples in our national past of truly courageous defiance, where the players and their families faced very real consequences for their risky acts that helped forge the creation of the United States.  The anniversary of one of these events is coming up this month, so let’s take a look. | More at GraniteGrok

In Whom Do We Trust? The Springhill Farm in Chester

At the time of her death in 2001 [Muriel Church] entrusted the NH property to the town of Chester with the stipulation that they rent to tenants, preferably family members, who would maintain the farm as open space, in perpetuity.

However, the Sweets were recently and suddenly given an EVICTION notice to vacate (7/4/2017 lease) without being given any reason why. Cass Buckley, the newest BoS and Trustee, seems to be the instigator. | More at CNHT

Zandra Rice-Hawkins was a sterling example of why we don’t “join their conversation” on guns

I’m going to watch it again, but it was class Rice-Crispies operandi – dripping with condescension and her favorite tactic of hijacking the conversation while someone else is talking (in this case, Susan Olsen representing the Women’s Defense League).  I have to give Susan kudos for the attempt, but it was clear that Zandra Rice-Hawkins was as haughty as ever (as she treats me every time we meet up). | More…

New Media Militia Evolution

In keeping more with the mission of the New Media Militia, you can expect to see a dip in the number of stories posted here. The plan was to focus on news or opinion generated in New Hampshire or about New Hampshire from ‘New Media’ content providers. It turned into something else, and while it was well received, it is time-consuming.

Instead of trying to put something new up every hour or every two hours, moving forward it will appear here as it becomes available. Feel free to email content to me that you feel fits the format including press releases, event announcements, opinion pieces, news, things you find on facebook, twitter, or wherever.

Email them to Steve@granitegrok.com.

Thanks!

ESAs Create More Opportunities

Over the last several months we have continued to work on the Education Savings Account (ESA) bill, SB 193, which was retained by the House Education Committee. A subcommittee met multiple times and must present a decision to the entire committee by early November before the legislature resumes business in early 2018. | More…

Double Standards; one for Christians and one for Gays?

We have seen a number of militant gay couples go to Christian small businesses like flower shops, wedding photographers, wedding chapel owners, and t-shirt makers and demand to be served.  At almost every turn, anti-discrimination ordinances or that any business was a “public accommodation”, along with biased bureaucrats and judges,  either put these businesses out of business or have put them into years-long court battles that may well bankrupt them even if they win on First Amendment grounds. | More…

So Zandra-Rice Hawkins LIES about the end game of gun control – confiscation

Boy does this segue well from my previous post about Progressives lying in “the means justifies the end”. I DVR’d WMUR’s CLOSEUP as I usually do and I know for a fact that the anti-gunners DO want a complete confiscation of any and all civilian firearms: | More…

Who’s Really in Charge of the Voting Fraud Commission?

Me: Brace Yourself. Liberal tropes are coming.

On Friday, in response to a judge’s order, the Department of Justice released data showing the authors, recipients, timing, and subject lines of a group of emails sent to and from the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. They show that in the weeks before the commission issued a controversial letter requesting sweeping voter data from the states, co-chair Kris Kobach and the commission’s staff sought the input of Hans von Spakovsky and J. Christian Adams on “present and future” state data collection, and attached a draft of the letter for their review — at a moment when neither had yet been named to the commission. | More…
