HAMPTON (AP) — The town of Hampton is going to court in hopes of getting reimbursed for services it provides at the state-owned Hampton Beach.
The beach is owned and operated by the state, but if someone calls 911 from the beach, the town responds. Hampton fire officials told New Hampshire Public Radio that in the last four years, they’ve spent more than $700,000 responding to emergency calls at the beach, while the state collects millions of dollars in parking revenue. | Home
