Democrat Cavanaugh wins state Senate special election

BOW, N.H. (AP) — Democrat Kevin Cavanaugh has won the special election for New Hampshire’s District 16 state Senate seat.

Cavanaugh defeated Republican David Boutin and Libertarian Jason Dubrow on Tuesday.

District 16 covers Bow, Dunbarton, Candia, Hooksett and parts of Manchester. The seat was left vacant by the death of Democrat Scott McGilvray in March. | More…
