Racial bias concerns still linger at UNH

DURHAM — Senior Megan Esperance, incoming co-chair of the Black Student Union, had never feared for her safety on the 91-percent white University of New Hampshire campus – until this past spring.

“Going to Holloway Commons (dining hall), I was terrified, I didn’t want to sit by myself,” said Esperance, who was born and raised in Manchester and up until this May was “used to being one of the only black girls in white spaces.” | More…
