BOSTON —Organizers promoting a so-called “Free Speech Rally” at a Boston park on Saturday do not have a permit for the event, but that isn’t stopping city officials from preparing.

The event planned for Aug. 19 in Boston gained public awareness in light of the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where violence broke out over the weekend. In a Facebook post, however, the organizers of the “Free Speech Rally” said they are in no way associated with the organizers of the Charlottesville rally. | More…
