Purdue Pharma, the makers of OxyContin and other opioid drugs, is being sued by the state of New Hampshire.  In a statement issued yesterday, the Office of the Attorney General said it filed the suit at the conclusion of an investigation that began in September, 2 0 1 5.  Prosecutors say the investigation produced evidence that led them to conclude that Purdue has committed numerous violations of the state’s Consumer Protection Act, Medicaid Fraud Act and other state laws and should be subject to a civil enforcement action.
