To my family & friends who ride motorcycles, and travel 495S
There was a fatal last night in the Franklin/ Wrentham area on 495 Southbound involving a motorcycle. The State Police reconstruction team brought in one of their bike troopers to test the new highway pavement. At 30mph he locked the brakes and slid 100 feet. The new pavement has some sort of rubber mixed in and doesn’t allow the friction needed for tire gripping. Be careful out there guys/ladies, ride safe.
