Three Queens Men Arrested in New Hampshire

Three men from Queens were picked up in New Hampshire earlier this week for allegedly hoarding thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise and marijuana, according to a news report.
Arturo Fabian Pineda-Otero, 30, of Flushing, Roger Bustos-Perez, 28, of Elmhurst, and Hernan Avendano-Martinez, 29, of Corona, were pulled over by police for a “minor vehicle violation” on April 4 at about 8:45 p.m. in Laconia, N.H., according to the Laconia Police Department. More…

O’Brien Led Meetings of Conservative House Members Prior to Budget Defeat
Former New Hampshire House Speaker Bill O’Brien this week led two meetings of between 40 and 50 conservative House members and activists prior to the defeat of the current House leadership’s budget.
The Mont Vernon Republican said in an interview Friday that his role in House votes that killed the budget put forward by the House Finance Committee is being overblown by critics, but he said that if current speaker Shawn Jasper, R-Hudson, considers him an “outside influence,” he’s not upset with that description.
