Invisible Dog Fences Questioned In Laconia

They have Invisible Dogs in Laconia?

“The dog that attacked us had a shock collar on it and broke through the invisible fence,” he said. “When I went back afterward and spoke to the owners, they said the dog does it constantly. Once the dog gets excited it just ignores the shock of the fence.”

A city code says it is unlawful to intentionally permit any dog to run at large. The animal must be kept on a leash or in an enclosure when not on the property of the owner.

Burrell wants to see wording added that would require an owner to be outside and in control of the dog if it is not fastened to the property or behind a real fence. | More…

Ann Marie Banfield: Is Sanborn Regional School District Lying To Parents?

What happens when a school district is in the spotlight for being successful, but the teachers and students who attend the school or have graduated, say something else?

Sanborn is one of the school districts in New Hampshire that have implemented many of the federal education reforms like Common Core and Competency Based Education (CBE).  Sanborn is also using the PACE assessment which is the Competency Based Assessment assessment.  I’ve been highly critical of CBE in the past because it is a dumbed down workforce education model versus a liberal arts model focused on literacy and knowledge. | More…

Procter and Gamble: Identity-Politics Pandering in New Ad Campaign

P&G’s “My Black Is Beautiful” campaign released a new video last week called, “The Talk.” It “depicts the inevitable conversations many Black parents have with their children about racial bias to prepare, protect and encourage them” across the decades. The ad plays as a kinder, gentler version of Black Lives Matter propaganda, but the underlying themes are the same:

–Little progress has been made since the days of Jim Crow.
–Racial discrimination against black Americans is inevitable.
–Police officers are the enemy.
