PORTSMOUTH — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash report from a traffic flagger, who said he was injured by a driver with a “TRUMP1” license plate who fled the scene.
Patrol officers and firefighters responded to the area of the Plains ball field on Tuesday at about 4:30 p.m. when the flagger reported being hit by someone driving a PT Cruiser with the New Hampshire vanity tag. Police Sgt. Eric Kinsman said the incident remains under investigation and no one had been charged by Wednesday morning. According to police radio communications at the time of the incident, officers searched the area for the vehicle, based on the victim’s description. | More…
