Old Establishment Scared…The Liberty Wing Needs To Double Down –
(Originally posted Sept 6, 2011 at granitegrok.com)
The liberty and freedom part of the NHGOP is already winning the war. We just lost one battle. The establishment is scared. We are only a few votes away from preventing what just happened and they know it. The old moderate establishment is desperate and on their way out. So stand up for your new GOP and be patient. Keep electing your pro-liberty Republican candidates to office, to town committees, and as local committee chairs. You will be victorious in the end. And that end is not so far away as you may imagine.
But not if you abandon your party now. And it is your party.
Despite that majority presence and influence some have insisted that the ouster of Jack Kimball is proof they need to leave the GOP. Some folks are just looking for a reason to quit. But I disagree as much as anyone can disagree about anything. This is a sign that we need more liberty minded folks in the GOP.
There are plenty of people in the party structure now who are looking for more back-up. People who would love to get away from the old guard way of doing things. Even folks who got strong-armed last week.
We already have the votes to elect a Jack Kimball as state party Chair. Even if we could agree that Jack was not the perfect guy for the job, we still have the votes to give it to someone who is. But if you start backing out now, that will never happen. The existing insiders looking for help will stop looking. The old guard town and city committee chairs, beholden to the old way of doing things, will never get replaced. We’ll have given up when we had them on the run.
It is time to double down. Secure the victory.
The Conservative, liberty, and TEA party movements in this state elected most of the conservative and pro-liberty members without old-establishment help last time around. What makes anyone think we need it now? We don’t. They need us. So dig in, hit the ground, support your candidates, work together, and continue the revolution toward a new NHGOP. The old one is already dead, it just doesn’t know it yet.
We need to commit ourselves, with or without the party to keep democrats out of office, to retain the Republican majority, to add more pro-liberty Republicans to the ranks, and to elect a Republican governor.
Besides, I now know who the ring leader behind the removal of Jack Kimball is. I’m just looking for a few more pieces to the puzzle before I start exposing them. And yes, it is about as establishment as you can get.

Left Wing Hyporcisy Must Die!
Everyone knows that the Matthew-Shepherd-Pentagon-Spending-Hate-Crimes bill does not apply to anyone on the right. …so you could never produce a game called Obama Zombies Must Die, in which the entire White House staff is gunned down by players to save America from unconstitutional, bureaucratic overreach. But since we now have TEA Party Zombies Must Die, why not try?

RGG-Die!
RGGI’s proponents claimed it would be good for the environment, which was only true if the “environment” was one littered with taxpayer financed slush funds whose purposes were as ephemeral as the lefts idea of rights or justice. And Carbon trading to reduce emissions was already a well known lie that ten years of cap and trade in Europe had already proved demonstrably false. If we just assume the folks who claim to be the smartest people in every room had to know this–being so damn smart, the this was just another very large slush fund to be raided by current and future Democrat majorities, but for two fortuitous events that got in the way of pay day.

It’s Not Easy Being Green
Kermit the Frog was getting tired of blending in when he sang the words, “It isn’t easy being green.” But he’s got nothing on the GoreBama environmental crowd. These greens are having a horrible time fitting reality to
their wilting rhetoric.
their wilting rhetoric.First, Evergreen Solar in Massachusetts, recipient of $58 million in subsidies to promote green jobs, filed for bankruptcy and moved all 800 jobs to China. Proof once more that Obama really is creating or saving millions of jobs…for the Chinese…at your expense.

Go Ahead Punk. Film that Police officer.
A First Circuit Court of Appeals judge in Boston has declared that arresting people for filming police officers in public violates their first amendment rights.“Gathering information about government officials in a form that can readily be disseminated to others serves a cardinal First Amendment interest in protecting and promoting ‘the free discussion of governmental affairs.’”… “a citizen’s right to film government officials, including law enforcement officers, in the discharge of their duties in a public place is a basic, vital, and well-established liberty safeguarded by the First Amendment.”
The New Hampshire State legislature has bills in process to address this locally, discussed here.

What I hate About Wal-Mart
The latest trend at self-checkout, OK it is not the latest I’m just being timely, seems to be that people with fifty items or more also feel compelled to use it, as if this will actually take less time than standing in another line. These are of course the same people who have no idea how to use it, if that gives you some idea of where this is headed.
This is not like trying a new salad dressing at lunch, or a new look, or even a new vacation destination. This is serious. Other peoples lives are affected.

Thanking New Hampshire’s Establishment Republicans
Speaking for myself, I’d like to say thank You. No, really. You have shown yourselves to be nothing more than the childish, backstabbing, power hungry hypocrites we all knew you were. You don’t care about the New Hampshire Republican party, you just care about who is running it and your place in the pecking order.

Obama/DNC Announce New Jobs Program
To Help Americans better understand President Obama‘s Jobs Program VII – The Return of The Laser Like Focus, the Democrat National Committee has released this image for the DNC/Obama “Ladder to Success”Jobs program.Ladder to Success is a Department of Labor initiative to keep America moving. The subtle implications of the hamster wheel as indicactive of your future on the government dole were dismissed by the Administration as nothing more than regurgitated rhetoric–talking points handed out byRush Limbaugh, the voice of the Republican Party.
The man pictured, Benjamin Dover, has exhausted his 199 weeks of unemployment and is currently one of the record number of citizens relying on government hand outs like welfare and food stamps for their livelihood.
As part of the work for the future “Ladder to Success’ program, participants can earn sanctioned “extras” like 30 minutes of additional heating or cooling in their Government funded Community Environment Luxury Living (CELL) accommodations, in any given month after enough credits have been accrued, pursuant to the Department of Energy Standards and limitations for Household Environmental Management rules, and only if they have committed to six hours per day of kinetic perambulatory engagement with the Manster wheel, at least five days per week, over the required contract period, without days missed in excess of the minimum participation agreement.
This particular wheel powers the automatic, low volume flush toilets at Obama’s new National Labor Relations Board -Ministry of rules administration for left handed albino homosexuals in work-place crisis.
The credits can also be exchanged for wood chips, or time to deploy a semi-porous retractable covering over the manster wheel in the event of inclement weather or other unanticipated rooftop conditions.
Installation and maintenance of the wheels, is said to have created or saved over one million union jobs, which party officials insist has absolutely no relevance to a marked increase in union campaign donations to Democrats and the Democrat party of close to 300 million annually.
Mrs. Obama has gotten involved as well, dovetailing her anti-obesity “Let’s Move” initiative with the new ‘Ladder to Success’ Program, providing fresh vegetables from the White House Garden TM (WHG) to participants during work hours. Bits of carrot and celery, broccoli sprouts, and fresh lettuce leaves, as well as water are hand fed to program participants by public union employees from Homeland Securities new Division of Domestic Motion Enforcement–The Department of Sustenance for A Stronger America (DDMEDSSA).
The Agriculture department and DDMEDSSA estimate that The Garden will continue to yield produce for the millions of Americans the Administration hopes to eventually “place” in the Ladder to Success program, despite the drought conditions in (redacted) where most of the WHG vegetables are actually grown. A spokesman for DDMEDSSA claims there will also be plenty of opportunity for Photo-Ops with the First Lady, Jillian Michaels from the Biggest loser, and Jared from the Subway commercials, handing fresh WHG produce to grateful participants as they climb the Obama Ladder to Success.
But the benefits to the nation don’t stop there.
Health minister Kathleen Sibelius, and the CDC, in a joint report designed to encourage participation in Ladder To Success, noted that the program should improve health outcomes for obesity, saving the taxpayers 245 trillion dollars over ten years. Not mentioned, however, was a DHHS memo released the same week requesting 245 billion per year in budget increases, for pain killers, knee braces, other orthopedic devices and even crutches. Inside sources would not confirm if their was any relationship between the program and the new budget request.
Not pictured is this image, but critically important to the initiative, is a small flat panel television, affixed in a weatherproof enclosure, on which participants must watch MSNBC for the duration of each shift. This has improved the networks otherwise abysmal ratings and while not everyone was thrilled by the programming limitation at first, most participants agree that watching this programming has made the work in the wheel seem less tedious by comparison. Their is also general agreement that the networks ad campaign, Lean Forward, has served as a helpful reminder to maintain a proper forward body position during their shift, and is a suitable synonym to describe their new working relationship with the Federal Government, Bend over.
Officials claim that they should be able to put every American back to work with the Ladder to Success program, while reducing dependence on foreign energy, noting that simply letting the government tap their labor directly in exchange for services controlled entirely by the federal government was easier than Democrats continuing to pretend that anything anyone else earns is or has ever actually been theirs in the first place; or that they are capable of knowing how best to invest their labor output in the economy to achieve a proper socialist utopian superstate.
Authorization and administration details for the program are available in a 56,000 page report with links throughout to the 245 thousand page rule book used by relevant departments to administer the program. All documentation complies with the Reducing The Paperwork Reduction Act.
Note: The administration continues to defend program waivers given to Democrat women, illegal immigrants and non-conservative African Americans. Spokesman with DoJ have indicated that they will use anti-bullying legislation and anti-discrimination suits against the misogynists, racists, and anyone fomenting misleading attacks like the right wing tea-party terrorists and those who want to take women’s health back to the 1700’s and redistribute wealth to the richest Americans.

Where’s Our Cheese?
While the New Hampshire GOP and the free staters do some naval gazing over Tuesday’s loss, there is this to consider.Wisconsin had six state Senate recall elections Tuesday. The left spent tens of millions, most of it from unions or pro-union contributors, but they also rallied over eight thousand volunteers from everywhere and anywhere, to contact over 785,000 voters, knocking on over 200,000 doors in one weekend. That won’t show up on a contribution report.
The end result is that the union-left only took two seats out of the six swing districts and the GOP kept control of the state senate. And according to TWS, next week the Cheddar-left stands to lose two seats. After losing the Prosser election, in which they also spent a bundle, the toss-up state of Wisconsin seems plenty happy with Scott Walker and his pro-jobs, employee rights agenda. The only statement the Unions have made in Wisconsin is that they can spend a lot of money, waste a lot of time and, still come up empty.
But that is not how it is turning out in New Hampshire. The unions are pouring in some money and people. We’re not that much different politically from Wisconsin considering how the unreliable “independents” could break either way the wind is blowing. So what is different about New Hampshire compared to the Cheese heads in Wisconsin? Where’s Our Cheese?
Do we need to just pass Right to Work and get that red cape out from in front of the Union Bull? Is it a messaging problem? Are people buying into the lefts “worry-wart’ narrative? Or have New Hampshire’s low tax, local government, just-leave-me-alone voters decided that a tax and spend, intrusive big government guy like Bob Perry is the new (old) direction they want to pursue?
Some of each, a mixture of them all, or something else?
I have some thoughts but I’d like to hear yours.
