The New Media Militia

We must assume that none of the ‘experts’ was paying much attention to the risks of oral sex on the matter of teen pregnancy, which explains why they needed to do a study.  It never occurred to them.  What that suggests about the “experts” is at the very least amusing.  But it also creates one hell of a conundrum.  The only way to achieve the stated goal of fewer pregnancies, given the conclusion of this report, would be to suggest that teenagers abstain from oral sex, which to the progressive mind is as difficult as suggesting that congress and universities abstain from funding stupid research.  How do you tell teens to abstain from oral sex when geniuses like Paul Hodes (here and here) and the entire democrat majority unfunded all the sex education money to teach kids to abstain from actual intercourse. (..while idolizing perjurer and serial sex offender Bill Clinton, who is probably responsible for teens thinking oral sex is not sex, even though it has the word “sex” in it’s name.)

Such is the brilliant confluence of social engineering and academia. But why stop there?

Thanks to UNH we are also the recipients of some related academic wisdom; continuing to use your cell phone while in class affects your academic performance, and knowing this is not necessarily a deterrent to the activity.

So why we are not funding a study on the effects of oral sex on driving (which we now “know” leads to an increased incidence of intercourse and pregnancy) seeing as everyone knew texting was dangerous but they did it anyway (and still do even though it is now illegal); or perhaps we need a law banning texting in class; or better yet–let’s fund a research project relating to the money wasted on research projects whose painfully obvious conclusions never align to suggest that the problem is not oral sex or cell phone use but people of a certain age who engage in behaviors because they are more obsessed with immediate gratification than the complex negative outcomes that behavior might later produce–regardless of the number of well funded research project papers published to point this out?

We could just pillage the next round of cow-fart funding to pay for it because they really have the same goal–a world with not just fewer people, (which the research claims will save the planet) but fewer people who question the thinking behind the continued funding of these sorts of research projects.

Note:  I frequently come across past posts that I find particularly amusing or lord help us Relevant.  That is not to say this one is either but I enjoyed re-visiting it and thought you might enjoy it too.

Sharing the “indiscretions” of the opposing party are the foundation of blogging and, in fact, politics in general.   Not sharing them, when they occur among your own party leadership, members, supporters, or factions your leadership have embraced, might be construed as bias or hypocrisy.

Case in Point: The criminal elements among the #Occupy movement, a movement that the left and its leaders (even some libertarians) had quickly embraced, have been summarily ignored by both local and national Democrat party blame-stormers, including the case of Justina Jensen who was arrested for trying to pimp a 16 year old girl she met at  #Occupy Manchester as an on-line teenage prostitute.

John Sununu’s ears must be bleeding.  Yesterday Hot Air reported on the Sununu dig at Gingrich and what looks like a twenty year old grudge between them about Newt not supporting the Elder Bushes tax hike deal.  (The one that cost him the oval office.)  The problem is that by drawing attention to it, Sununu makes Newt look more conservative, with history putting Gingrich firmly on the proper side of the argument.

Meanwhile, New Hampshire is supposed to belong to Romney, and Governor Sununu has lined up all the right endorsements (including his own) to make sure it stays that way.  But most of us know Kelly Ayotte will never be Romney’s pick for VP (if Mittens even gets the nomination) and that this is just more establishment chain-yanking and game playing to make sure the ‘right people’ get elected.

Sununu is all about that.  Just ask Jack Kimball.

The NH-GOP elected Kimball party chair over Governor John’s anointed RINO–whose “turn” it was–so he and the rest of the NH Republican establishment (and, yes–we know who you are) used their money and power to perform some political surgery and drove Kimball out.  (Kimball has endorsed Gingrich.)

Poke – poke.

Meanwhile, Sununu knows Romney must win New Hampshire.   He thought they had.  The national media has been toeing their line on Romney’s certain victory all along, but Sununu saw “certain victory” escape him when his pick for state party chair lost.  And 1000 people just showed up to see Newt in Windham, New Hampshire last night after his debate with Governor Huntsman.  And while I was just pointing out last week that Governor Huntsman made a huge mistake not going there with Newt, I am please to suggest that the candidate campaign most likely to suffer is Romney’s.

Those of us looking for a ‘Non-Romney’ couldn’t be happier.  And Governor Sununu unintentionally making Newt look better at Romney’s expense is just icing on the cake.
