Military absentee ballots still in a quagmire

It seems to me that people whose primary job it is to protect our right to vote ought to be afforded the same privilege.  But the Democrat majority in congress has proven again that their rhetoric about supporting the troops in not just empty rhetoric, it is barren.  A measure to improve how military absentee voting is handled was gunned down by almost ever democrat in the House.  The measure would have simplified the current absentee ballot process for millions of service personnel and their spouses based here and abroad, but the current process  fails to account for even half of the eligible votes, and by some estimates significantly less than that.  With members of the military overwhelmingly voting Republican it’s hard to ignore the benefits to democrats if millions of absentee ballots can’t or don’t get counted.
