NH Voter ID Law Challanged – But not Very Well

This is really just too good to be true, right?  The Left Wing League of Women Voters and the American Uncivil Left-Wing-Liberties Union, have filed suit in New Hampshire on behalf of four “out of state college students” who want to vote here, but don’t want to be subject to any other laws pertaining to domicile.
Follow the stupidity closely because Democrats all over the state of New Hampshire are going to want to pile on to this, and you will want to make sure you are prepared to repeat what I am about to tell you so that you may smote them where they stand.

‘‘Students are left with either signing a statement that doesn’t reflect New Hampshire laws or being forced to give up their constitutional right to vote,’’ said Joan Ashwell, election law specialist for the League of Women Voters of New Hampshire.
Actually, Joan, they do have another option.  It’s called the absentee ballot.  It’s this thing where people who are someplace else can still vote in their own home town, by mail.   This way people who have to be someplace they don’t live, can still vote where they live.  And Joan?  Every state I am aware of allows college students matriculating out of state to use them.  And if it matters, absentee ballots are also the number one choice of Democrats who are interested in committing voter fraud anywhere…right after arguing that people who do not want to be subject to domicile laws should still be able to pretend they live in Hew Hampshire so they can vote Democrat.

One more problem for Joan, before she gets too carried away in New Hampshire; the League of women voters also challenged the Indiana voter ID law in Crawford v. Marion County Election Board.  One of the “Indiana voters” in the League’s amicus brief, used as an example of someone who had difficulty voting because of the Indiana voter ID law, was trying to use a Florida drivers license to vote in Indiana.   As it turns out, she was also registered to vote in Florida where she owned a home and had filed for a homestead exemption on her property taxes–that’s only available to state residents.  So the woman who had been “denied the right to vote” in Indiana was a Florida resident, registered to vote in Florida and more than able to vote by absentee there and…would have voted in Indiana had the ID law not prevented it.  The law prevented vote fraud.

I wonder if any of the students she is representing have Florida drivers licenses?

Claire Ebel, director of the New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union, compared the new law to an unconstitutional poll tax, saying it would discriminate against students who couldn’t afford to register their cars and pay driver’s license fees.
Um.  Claire?  If it is a poll tax to require students to register their cars or pay drivers license fees like every other person who lives in New Hampshire, then it must also be a poll tax for everyone else who lives in New Hampshire who can’t walk to where they vote.  We all have to register our cars and pay for a drivers license.  We all have to buy gas to put in our cars.   But just for you Claire, I’ll ask.

Show of hands.  Who in New Hampshire can walk to where they vote?  Not too many.  Holy crap Claire, time for a class action lawsuit.  And not just New Hampshire.  Every frikking state in the nation is discriminating against a super super majority of voters by requiring them to register their cars and pay for a drivers license, just so they can get to a polling place.  What’s next, cab fare, bus fare, and subway tokens—poll taxes!!

Claire?  You there?  Hello?  Claire?  Guess what would solve your so-called presumption that such costs are a poll tax?  Voting absentee ballot in their own home town would solve that Claire, which these college students have not been prevented from doing.  Wait.  Cost of postage…a poll tax!

Claire has allowed her left-wing palm-card-rhetoric to cloud whatever passes for common sense between her ears.  But we’re not buying it.

And Claire, Joan, I am not stupid.  I know that the entire point of the suit is not about poll taxes, or college students voting rights.  Isn’t it time to come clean?   The point is to suspend the law for this November so that out of state left wing voters (college students) can stuff local ballot boxes for Barack Obama in a swing state he desperately needs and (possibly) give bat Gurl–Democrat candidate for governor–a little boost in the process.

And this is a big problem for Claire, and Joan, and the NH Democrat party;  making all those kids sign the waiver and lie under oath, and break the law,  is probably more than most of their left-wing professors or town Democrat party Chairs can convince them to overcome.  But simply suspending the law for this one tiny election, could be just enough to get Obama the votes he needs to win New Hampshire.

You all know I’m right.  Even Claire and Joan know it is true.

Yes…please call your state reps  or anyone that matters, and let them know, that you know, whats up.  Do not let the Democrats get away with this.
And not that it matters, but after ID was passed in Indiana, voter participation rose, and the anti ID harpies have still not been able to produce an actual voter who lived there, who was prevented from voting as a result.

And the climb in New Hampshire is even higher for the League of Women Vote Stealers,  and not just becasue the Indiana case they lost is settled law all the way to the Supreme court…but becasue in New Hampshire the people they are trying to “defend” are admitting they do not even live here.

SEIU Tells You Which Republicans You Should NOT Vote For Tomorrow

For this, we are thankful.

The SEIU (SEA-NH), Obama’s shock troops, the same folks who beat up black conservatives ( or refuse to denounce such behavior), have endorsed the following “(r)epublicans” in New Hampshire.

In Belknap District 8, SEA/SEIU has endorsed Rep. Peter Bolster (R), of Alton.  Bolster is train wreck.  He barely votes with his own party half the time.  If you want a Republican you should be voting  for Jane Cormier, to get Bolster out of the House and with any luck, out of our Party. 

SEIU Member Adam Hopkins is pretending to be a Republican in Cheshire District 10. Adam is another union hack  ‘fighting for Democrat values, like spending more of your money or filtering it through state employees forced union tithing, into the campaign coffers of Democrats.  His opponent is Michael J. Walsh–whom the SEIU has just told you is the better Republican in that race. 

In Cheshire District 11 the violent left wing, Obama supporting union has endorsed Rep. Richard Dwinell (R) and Rep. Susan Emerson (R). Emerson is an entrenched cry-baby who might pass for an independent, but the SEIU endorsement just loaded her up with all their left wing luggage.   That means that the real Republicans in these races are Rep. Eric Jackman and Rep. John B. Hunt.

In Coos District 7 the SEIU has endorsed Republican Democrat Rep. William (RINO-Bill) Remick, who continues to pretend to be a Republican and needs to stop hiding in the GOP skirts.  He belongs on the left side of the aisle, where his more moderating influece can pull the extremist left closer to where New Hampshire citizens think and breathe.  But as along as he continues to pretend to be something else, the actual Republican candidate in that race is Leon Rideout.

In Rockingham District 19  the SEIU has endorsed Rep. Tim Copeland (R).  Copeland is a member of the SEIU and as such has much to atone for, particularly its’ massive investment in time and money into electing the most far left President in history.  He is running for one of two seats against four other Republicans.  Thanks to the SEIU, you know who not to vote for.

In Rockingham District 13, the SEIU has endorsed Rep. David Welch (R) and Kevin St. James (R).  St.James is another PFFNH Democrat, fronted by the left wing union PAC to go to Concord for the sole purpose of voting against Right to Work.  Much Like Kevin Janvrin, who was another Fire-fighter Democrat lurking in the GOP –and elected for the same purpose (who did his job and is not running again), St. James will not represent the people of his district.  He will show up for union votes and very little else, unless the Democrats need some help.  (PFFNH only supports Democrats and fake Republican plants meant to undermine the GOP, as does the SEIU).  David Welch has been around a while, and is more respected in the party, but he’s walking a very fine line when it comes to supporting the platform.  As a guy under the 80/20 threshold, he’s OK on most issues but he would do well to denounce the SEIU endorsement and start tacking a bit more to the right lest he suffer for it.

(Note to the word-smiths at the SEIU.  Hillsborough–as in Counthy–is not spelled ‘Hillsboro.’  So yes, these spelling errors come directly from the SEIU 1984 endorsement page.  You can thank the articles author, Beth D’Ovidio, SEIU 1984 ‘communications’ administrator for the New Hampshire State Employees Union.)
  In Hillsboro District 19 (that’s Hillsborough) the SEIU has endorsed Rep. Carlos Gonzales (R).  I would like to make a plea to Rep Gonzales, whose scores and ratings are worse than David Welch.  Having the SEIU as your friend is bad.  It should serve as a warning that your principles are becoming too fungible.  By embracing them, you are turning to the dark side.  The SEIU supports very un-Republican ideas, like socialism, for example.  Your call.

In Hillsboro District 21 (that’s Hillsborough) the SEIU has endorsed incumbent Rep. Kathy Stroud.  Stroud falls outside the 80/20 rule on every survey, which is a hallmark of union members–which she is–who are too moderate to run as Democrats.  Kathy is also one of my reps and is not being challenged in any primary this year, though I cannot say if she will be primaried out.  But by toeing the SEIU line, she continues to endorse everything the SEIU and the Democrat party stands for.  I’m sorry I can’t support that.  The SEIU is a nasty, intolerant lot of socialist thugs who extort money from their members to advance the entire Democrat agenda.  You can be in a union and not support that but defending the entire forced funding mechanism (and the rhetoric that goes with it) by which all the evil they do against our great nation is made possible, is more complicity than I care to stand.  My suggestion is that residents in Hillsborough 21 vote for newcomers Phil Straight and Dan Oberlander, Jeanine Notter, Lenetter Peterson, Dick Barry, Dick Hinch, TOny Pellegrino, and Joe Thomas.

I’m screen capping this one as is…In Hillsboro District 29 SEA endorsed Rep. Mike McCarthy (R).  Mike is a member of IBEW and running for re-election in Nashua Ward 2.  He is running against three other Republican candidates, two of whom are tied to the Liberty Caucus….(Because lord knows, you don’t want State Reps who are interested in protecting your liberty.  And its Hillsborough.)

In Hillsboro District 40 (that’s Hillsborough) the SEIU endorsed Rep. Benjamin Linn (R), a member of the American Postal Workers Union.  So Republicans need to vote for incumbent Gary Daniels (R)–easy enough.

In Merrimack District 9 the SEIU has endorsed long time Republican Democrat incumbent Rep. Priscilla Lockwood, a union school teacher and promoter of the Democrat party agenda.  Lockwood has never really been a Republican and should be kicked out so she can consider her proper role in some future election as an independent or a Democrat.  Republicans have two other choices but there is only one seat and while both are significantly better than Lockwood, if I have to pick just one I’d recommenced Republican Ken Kreis.

In Merrimack District 21 SEIU has endorsed Tony Soltani (R) ….because he is not Rep. Dan McGuire (R).  Dan McGuire is an excellent Republican.  And thanks to the SEIU, with three Republicans running for two seats, you can probably guess which one not to vote for.

Here is the balance of the SEIU’s list of favored candidates…with some minor edits for clarity…Please do your best not to support them unless the only alternative is a Democrat.  They are all complicit in the hate and destruction of the SEIU and its support of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and others, whose mission is to ruin our nation.  It is up to them to separate themselves from these thugs,….in writing would nice.  Otherwise we have to assume that they share values with the SEIU and the left wing mission of public union labor.

In Rockingham District 4 SEIU has endorsed Rep. Jean Charron (R) and Jim Devine (R), both of whom have voted with the SEIU repeatedly.

In Rockingham District 5 SEIU has endorsed Frank Emiro (R). Frank is a former House Rep and is a member of SEA Chapter 1 ….  In this race SEA is also endorsing Rep. Betsey McKinney (R).  The SEIU endorsed candidates in this race will be vying with eight other candidates for seven seats. Two of the other candidates are known to be affiliated with the Liberty Caucus. (I Guess the SEIU really hates Liberty, eh?)

In Rockingham District 6 SEIU has endorsed three of our Republican heroes, Frank Sapareto, Brian Chirichiello and Jim Webb. Webb is a member of IBT (The Teamsters). They are running against eight other Republicans for 10 possible seats

In Strafford District 12 SEIU has endorsed Patricia Hartley (R), who is a member from Strafford County Nursing Home. This is Patricia’s first time running for office.

In Strafford District 23 SEIU has endorsed incumbent Rep. Julie Brown (R). She has been one of our most consistent Republican supporters.

Just to clarity, I must admit that in most cases (not all), if any of these SEIU (so-called republican) candidates win their primary, they are still a far better choice than any Democrat the New Hampshire Democrat (Free Batting Practice) Party can come up with.  And many of them are good on most issues other than labor.  If your choice is them or  Democrat, pick the Republican.  They at least will buck leadership where-as Democrats will just be frog marched into voting the party line like they were from 2007-2010.
Republicans have to understand that an SEIU endorsement is not something any Republican should accept of promote.  The majority of what the SEIU represents and condones is hostile to liberty, personal responsibility, state sovereignty, local control, and the foundations of this nation.   So before you come after me for calling you out on this, you had best be prepared to defend everything the SEIU exists to advance, including its commitment to top down socialist central planning, advanced and supported by the crony union thugocracy of the SEA, SEIU, and other unions like them.

Bipolar Domicile Syndrome…For Voting Purposes…

Democrats use domicile to allow out of state influence in local elections

The New Hampshire TEA Party Republican Legislature did a lot more than just eliminate the 800 Million dollar deficit Democrats willingly left behind, while writing a balanced budget, and estimating revenues that came in on target.  They also managed to repair some damage to election law in regard to domicile.
SB318, vetoed by Governor Lynch, was overridden by both the House and Senate  (House Roll Call)(Senate Roll Call) and become law.  And while there are several important corrections to the forms and language that were made the one that strikes me as the most important is this.
Struck…
“A persons claim to domicile for voting purposes shall not be conclusive of the person’s residence for any other legal purpose.”
This was inserted into the law when Democrats ran the legislature to allow anyone who was in the state to vote here on election day.  And ‘anyone’ could.   They could vote for Presidents, congressman, Senators, state house offices, Executive Council, Governor…and inevitably, or at least potentially (as long as they were on the list), your local offices, local warrant articles, school and town budgets, local spending, whatever their hearts desire and or as directed by the Democrat party of New Hampshire and their fellow travelers in the university system.

This is what allowed students whose declared legal residence was outside of New Hampshire to vote Democrat in New Hampshire, even though most of them were paying out of state tuition rates, carrying out of state drivers licenses, and not having any intention of staying after college (see NH Brain Drain).

But they were helping the New Hampshire Democrat party steal votes, and tax dollars, from you, by trying to make your vote meaningless.  And New Hampshire Democrats wanted that, defended it, enshrined it in law, and to this day do everything they can to make you believe that this is something other than a game of political chess where they add extra pieces to give them the advantage.

You’ll be happy to know that not one Democrat in either chamber of the NH Legislature voted in favor of making SB318 law.  And they can make all the excuses they like, but you can’t run away from the facts.  New Hampshire democrats legalized ballot stuffing and out of state influence on local elections when they allowed people who lived outside New Hampshire to vote here, simply becasue they felt certain the majority of them would vote for them and their agenda.  And this exactly why they are against voter ID.

Voter ID doesn’t make it harder for legal residents to vote.  There is no proof that it does, has, or ever will.   But what it does do is make it harder for Democrat voting college students to have bi-polar domicile syndrome, when New Hampshire Democrats need to stuff your local ballot box with their out of state influence.
And making it legal does not make it ethical.  Your vote is perhaps your highest form of political speech.  A majority left wing faction legalized the theft of  votes from the legitimate residents, erased them with the votes of people whose home towns are outside New Hampshire, by making unethical behavior legal.

Claiming it was legal does not make it right.  Letting the government define your morality is far from flattering.  And defending the practice does not salvage your character either.  Encouraging voter fraud is immoral and unethical.  And demanding that we continue to permit it to occur should be the equivalent of political suicide.

And on that note,  here is a list of every elected Democrat (and Republican) that voted to continue the practice of allowing out of state residents to influence local elections by claiming Democrat diagnosed bipolar domicile disorder.

Note: No Democrat voted in favor on the final vote for SB 318.  Those missing from this list were excused, absent or did not vote.  Republicans who voted against as well as State Senate Democrats are also listed

Calling out Left wing hypocrisy is my meat and potatoes, so the other day, whilst asking (yet again) why anyone would trust Democrats given their party culture, I mentioned (again) that one of their current NH House candidates had previously voted here while claiming to live in another State.

New Hampshire Democrat Timothy Horrigan asked when the candidate, William ‘Hud’ Connery, admitted to living in Tennessee?  Another ‘anonymous commenter’ said the post was bogus and we had no proof.

I accept your challenge.  You want proof, here it is.

UNH Student William Hudson Connery III, announces that he voted in New Hampshire and is a resident of Tennessee.  He also encourages other out of state students to do the same thing.

Operative phrases…

“The Obama campaign is trying to get everyone we can to go down and vote in Durham.”

“If you are from out of state, it doesn’t matter…”

“I am from Tennessee and I voted Already.”

“…You are better off registering now.. (In NH because)…when the general rolls around you wont have to vote absentee in your home town.”

After telling out of state college students not to vote in their “home town” he tells them people died to give them that right.  Actually, no New Hampshire Democrats died to give them the right to vote in a state that does not include their home town.  All they did was use their majority to water down the rules to legalize the stuffing of local ballot boxes with the left leaning votes of out of state college students.

Side note: This guy is running for office with the support and defense of many New Hampshire Democrats.

Some time after voting in New Hampshire, Mr. Connery joins the Tennessee Democrat Party  (wow that picture looks very familiar), listing his town of residence as Nashville, TN, reaffirming the residency he declared while voting in New Hampshire.

Mr. Connery did eventually return to New Hampshire and is running for the NH State House (Rockingham – 17) after reaffirming his domicile in Tennessee in 2009, but in most cases-if the brain-drain arguments are true–these students do not stay nor come back.  They vote here, mostly for Democrats and in support of spending your tax dollars, diluting your ability to object to spending you feel might be excessive or unnecessary, and preventing you from choosing your representatives by significantly tilting the ballot toward the left.

It is worth mentioning that every Democrat running in Newmarket (Michael Cahill, Patty Lovejoy, and Marcia Moody) including Mr. Connery (maybe every Socialist-Democrat in the State?), are against clarifying domicile to prevent improper out of state influence on local elections, and they are also universally against photo ID for the same reasons. The Incumbent Democrats running voted against changes to domicile and requiring photo id (which are now law despite them).  But given the opportunity, they would return us to watered down rules that invalidate legitimate votes with the votes of people who not only vote here when declaring domicile outside the state, but encourage others to do the same as student Connery did.

And claiming it is legal is no excuse. The government can legalize anything it wants–conveniently enough–if it just… has… enough… votes.

Arguing that people who claim to live outside the state should be allowed to vote here–who just happen to overwhelmingly vote for Democrats and watering down voting rules–is not just advocating out of state influence (in contradiction to another thing New Hampshire Democrats insist they are against), it is stuffing the ballot box to give them even more votes in town councils and the state legislature, to legalize other behaviors that could give Democrats more political power over the rest of us.

Making it legal does not change the fundamental issue at hand.   It makes it impossible for actual residents to choose their own candidates or to ensure that warrants, spending, any measure on their local ballot, passed or failed because of the will of the people who truly live there.

Republicans have tried to give that voice back to you, by simply asking people to commit to living here before voting like they do; and to demonstrate some evidence of that commitment before they vote to spend New Hampshire residents money or to select candidates who will have the same power.  And before you say it….those out of state college students have not been denied their right to vote.  No one died in vain to protect that.  They can vote absentee, in their own home town, just like everyone in the military and military families have done for years, when they have volunteered to be someplace else in the world.

New Hampshire Democrats sanctioned the ultimate form of out of state influence on local elections by making it legal for non-residents to cast votes here.  And now they want it back.

And before I forget…did I answer your questions?  Or are the candidates actual own words and actions inadmissible before the Democrat court of opinion?

From Top To Bottom The Democrat Party Lacks Principles

The blatant double standards exercised by Democrats is regard to what is outrageous becomes clearer every day.  Here in New Hampshire, spewing hate-speech and laughing at inferred acts of violence are pushed aside when we know that were it the Republicans making ‘off-hand’ remarks of a similar nature, the left would never let it go…. it would be an example of the underlying hate they hold for (insert name here), and would disqualify them for office….and yet not one Democrat has the honor to stand up and say as much when it’s them.

And at the national level the Obama Super PAC has called Mr. Romney many things and most recently a murderer.  But like everything else wrong with the Democrat party, from the violence to the slurs, to the racism, none of them, at least in New Hampshire, has the ‘teabag’ to admit that this is just as wrong as if Republican’s had done it.

The accusation of murder comes to us from Priorities USA, the Obama Super PAC.   The assumption is that because
“a company that Romney used to own closed down a steel mill (several years after Romney left that company) and that meant that the wife of the husband who lost his job at that steel mill (one Joe Soptic) didn’t have any insurance after the wife left her job several years after the layoff and several years after all of that the wife was diagnosed with cancer and then died.”
Did you get that?

So the kid growing up in the wake of the Obama economy, who never finds work and has to turn to crime to better his lot in life..every crime he commits, including murder, is Barak Obama’s fault.  And you know what?  That actually has a leg to stand on.  Becasue in the Obama economy, you don’t build anything without the help of the government, so that has to include everything you destroy as a result of it as well.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, and Fast and Furious have been tied directly to the deaths of around three-hundred minorities (potential future immigrants–illegal or legal), from their own ridiculous gun running program.  An American, Brian Terry is dead too.  Killed by guns given to their killers by the Obama Administration.  So Obama and Holder have committed murder.

The Democrats who are not defending the Administration are pointing fingers or simply silent.  Very brave, that lot.

So since Holder is only the AG becasue Obama appointed him, and Obama only appointed him becasue people elected Obama President, I guess every Democrat in America is responsible for the death of Brian Terry and 300 Mexicans.

This game is kind of fun.

How does that Ad go?  “New Hampshire Democrats murdered border patrol agent and 300 minorities.”

I bet that would get the armchair decency crowd off their collectivist Donkey’s ass and in an proper up-roar.  But we’re talking about Dear leader, whom they will collectively insist is not responsible for what a Super PAC does.  Or is he?

Surrogate smears are not new, in fact they are a staple of retail politics.  Super PAC’s just make them more well funded and widely distributed.  And while some may argue this is bad, I think it gives an observant and educated electorate a greater opportunity to fisk the claims and even find connections no one wanted anyone to make.  And this Ad is a great example.

It’s a lousy ad.  And when that Ad backfires Obama and his zombies will want to be able to distance themselves, but back in May an Obama Campaign spokesperson introduced the guy in the ad to reporters in a conference call.  Red State has the audio.  So this is not just some guy the Obama Super PAC scrounged up to play six degrees of “Look Romney is a murderer. ” In all likelihood the  Obama’s campaign found him first.

But they didn’t just outsource him to the smear PAC, they are running their own campaign ads with footage of the same guy, in the same clothes, in the same room, at the same time.  (same link above)

So which came first?  The OfA ad or the Super PAC smear, because they were shot the same day.  (Can I say shot?  Is that too divisive of a word?)  They are either sharing footage or were all present.  In either case that suggests collusion.

So the real impact of this ad may not be the long stretch it has to take to make its impossible point (one that even the liberal media is getting incensed at), but that the attack was clearly coordinated with the Super PAC from inside the Obama campaign, in violation of the law.

Break out the flying monkeys to call this some kind of Right wing conspiracy theory.  Go ahead New Hampshire Democrats.   The music is playing.  We know how you are.  Start dancing.

Encountering ‘Tea-Baggers’ On the Path To Restoring Civility to Concord

Is there any limit to the number of dumb things a Democrat candidate for the NH house can do or say–or claim to stand for? And how come, every time I try to walk away from this guy, he keeps dragging me back in?

Yes, I am referring to William Hudson Connery III, who since having stumbled onto the New Hampshire political stage–as a Democrat candidate in Newmarket (Rock 17)–has insulted people of faith,  tried to hide the fact, demonstrated a past in which he encouraged what in most places amounts to vote fraud, violated Department of Defense rules, and has now exemplified his Left Wing, New Hampshire, street cred by invoking (unsolicited) the unflattering term ‘Tea baggers.’

In his July 15th Facebook status update Mr. Connery declares…“Sorry Tea Baggers, even your hero disagrees with you” (click to expand image). I assume he’s not speaking to Ray Buckley because that would then be hate speech, or bullying, in contradiction of any number of Democrat sponsored state statues on such things; subject even to Federal investigation in violation of that Pentagon/Matthew Shepherd/ Hate crimes/DoD spending bill.

Not to worry.  He is speaking to TEA Party patriots.  Hypocrats get an equality-dispensation from the radical left, even if there are TEA Party folks who also happen to be gay, who might find offense.

It is also a well known fact that  this recurring homosexual epithet (favored by such left-wing 7-watt luminaries as the still-unrepentant, tea-bagger slur-wielding Congressional candidate Carol Shea-Porter)  is simply an in-house, New Hampshire Democrat party, pet name, for a group of political opponents, like Skippy or Sunshine.   And it’s all part of  ‘Restoring civility, Collaboration, and common sense to Concord, just like NH Democrat District 9 Senate Candidate Lee Nyquist keeps talking about.

Sure the budget is balanced and they cut taxes and spending, and state revenues are in just over projection, but those Tea baggers have made Concord so uncivil.

And yet no word as to whether Lee ‘selective civility’ Nyquist has yet condemned candidate Connery for his uncivil, nonsensical remarks, nor if, several weeks on he has scrounged up the integrity to publicly condemn the remarks of his own campaign manager, Kevin ‘Slugger’ Hodges.

Such is the dichotomy of the New Hampshire Democrats selective civility, burdened as it must be by the selective outrage exercised by  hypocrites like Nyquist, Hodges, Hassan, and the whole of a Democrat collectivist unconscious that cannot even imagine why anyone would consider their duplicitous underpinnings as a sign that no one can or should trust or even believe anything else they claim to stand for.

And what of Mr. Connery’s co-horts for the New Hampshire House.  We have not heard one peep (to my knowledge) from fellow Newmarket Democrats…Michael Cahill, Patty Lovejoy, and Marcia Moody on any of this.  They must be on board with the hating people of faith, and the Tea-bagger slurs, and the overall selective civility plank of the State Democrat party platform, yes?  I don’t see them speaking out publicly about the inappropriateness of Mr. Connery’s incivility, nor that of Slugger-Hodges or even Maggie ‘That’s a good answer’ Hassan.

So how is it that they are not complicit, not just by party affiliation but by proximity to such blatant disregard for constructive and non-inflammatory dialogue from a Democrat candidate in their own town?

They are hypocrites, that is why.  Civility is not in their tool box.  This is just political slight of hand, a rhetorical flourish over the false ideas sequestered in the disappearing cabinet of left wing campaign promises, which when opened after election day, will be found empty and barren.

There was no civility in the legislature when Democrats ran it, just ask Democrats who  tried to be civil.  Civility is an anchor to be laid upon political opponents.  It was never meant to apply to New Hampshire Democrats.   That would be…uncivil.

A Rose By Any Other Name…

This may sound like a strange observation but I think we can narrow down the field of potential Romney VP candidates based on how well their name sounds after “Romney.”  (I am amused by the notion that this might matter.)   Romney-Christie, for example, does not roll off the tongue the way “Romney-Ryan” would.   And let’s face it, Obama- Biden may one day be a slang term for economic destruction (if it is not already), but it rolls off the tongue as if it were a beautifully constructed expletive.

I think Ryan, Rice, Haley, Paul, and Jindal, all work reasonably well with ‘Romney.’  Mc Donnell might do, though the sound of it following “Romney” makes me think of Ronald McDonald so maybe not.  Then there is Marco Rubio.

Romeny-Rubio sounds a bit like the newest family-fun game from Parker Brothers, but it doesn’t just sound better than “Romney-Portman,” or “Romney-Pawlenty,” both of which would ‘taste’ like the old moderate-establishment crap-sandwich the TEA Party and conservative-Republicans are desperately hoping to avoid, it links the new generation of conservatives with the older statesman been-around-a-while Republicans like Romney.

If I had to choose (aural fixations aside) I’d start with Rand Paul, then Rubio, then Ryan.  After that, with the possible exception of Jindal, I believe it is a distinction without a difference politically and aurally.
