Carol Shea Porter has been accused of using the oil spill and related disasters as a way to get campaign contributions. In response her campaign manager, Angela Ruslander, said this in her defense.
“Carol Shea-Porter is standing up to BP and other big corporations who are irresponsibly hurting our environment and our economy.”
Wait it gets better.
“She’ll continue to speak out and stand up for New Hampshire. That is why she doesn’t take any campaign money from business PAC’s and DC lobbyists.”
Where do I begin with Angela and Carol?

It seems to me that you just don’t like her. You didn’t make any sort of logical argument here. Because she doesn’t take business or lobbyist money, that does make her more likely to stand up for New Hampshire citizens and go after corporations like BP. I would rather have someone that doesn’t take their money than someone who does and then tries to score political points by bashing them. She needs to fundraise off of her integrity as a politician. People like that about her.
I have no opinion about Carol the person. I’m sure she’s wonderful. I am however in complete disagreement with her political views. And her third biggest contributors are congressional PAC’s, some of whom are (or were) corrupt (like Jack Murtha) all of whom accept money from Business and industry which they then give to Carol. There is no way to seperate them. If Carol accepts PAC money from congressman who take PAC money from big business, she is accepting money from big business.
