Change?

Mr. Obama’s first step towards changing Washington was to select the corrosive and obnoxious Rahm Emmanuel as his White House Chief of Staff.  The Rahminator, another member of the fraternity of Chicago politicians mutated in the lab of the corrupt Daley political machine, brings with him some of the worst that politics has to offer.

If this is what we are to expect, the change Obama promises will be nothing like the sunshine and happiness he’s been cramming up everyone’s sphincter these past few years.  (Not that we on the Right ever suspected anything different). Emmanuel brings a level of offensive discourse, and intimidation that reeks of the very thing Washington needs less of, and in a leadership position such as this, it can only set the worst possible tone for an administration that—straight out of the gate—has already abandoned any pretense of giving us anything better.

It is not much of a stretch to surmise that “Changewecanbelievein™” has been beaten sensless with a pillow-case full of door-knobs, unceremoniuosly tossed in the trunk, and taken on a long drive out into the dessert.

So I suppose it’s only a matter of time before Obama fires a stafffer, and tries to convince us that he was taken out of context.

You know, somtimes, what you know is better than what you don’t.

Welcome to change.
