Kenny to Challange Lynch for Governor of NH

NH State Senator Joseph Kenny has officialy filed to run against incumbent Governor John Lynch.

Lynch has been popular in the past, reeling in impressive election victories, though I suspect this is due as much to the NH State GOP’s inability to field a decent candidate (and knee-jerk reactions against Republicans in general) than to any particular executive ability.  Lynch has had to rely on parliamentary hi-jinx to get an 80 billion dollar bond to try and cover some of the 100 million dollar hole left in the budget  by the spending shenanigans of his Democrat majority Legislature.

Democrats will be Democrats.  Spending the fruits of our labors is the only policy they can all agree on, and as long as they hold all of the keys to State Government, New Hampshire should expect the free flow of new programs, regulations, and fee hikes to suck our tax (and lifestyle) advantage away until the only thing that will discern us form the rest of New England is…well..nothing.

Kenny’s bid is not the one most Republicans have been pushing for but Manchester’s popular mayor Frank Guinta has decided not to run.  I’m not familiar with the real reasons, but hopefully Manchester will continue to benefit from New Hampshire’s loss.

Speaking of Democrats spending the fruits of our labor, did you hear about Joe Kenney pledging to a campaign spending cap and challenging John Lynch to do the same? He refused, is that really a surprise?

I had not heard, and no surprise. I’ve been trying to play catch up. It’s noon on Sunday and I haven’t even checked the papers yet.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to look into that some more.

Joe Kenney has taken the spending and broadbased tax pledges and has a stellar record from both the house and senate. He scored A+ on the NHLA scorecard which rates for both fiscal and liberty issues.

Joe is a great guy too and we are all behind him.

Excellent. Are you involved in hs campaign? Just a supporter? I have not yet had a chance to explore his policies in detail.

    Please keep me updayed.
